If you were unsure about who you were going to vote for president this year, I think your mind will be made up when you see this speech. It's a little controversial, but I think everyone can relate to some of the points he's making.
Barack's Latest Speech
Obama is a WHACK JOB. Seriously the guy has more logical flaws with his statements than freackin' Bush.
First Obama says he'll withdraw troops from Iraq but send them back if Al-Quaida were to establish a "base" there.
Then he says well, thanks to the war Al-Quaida IS there. So does that mean he WON'T draw down the troops or that he will?
If he means he can withdraw troops because there are FEWER Al-Quaida then isn't he admitting that the "surge" he opposed is working?
This guy not only can't make up his mind, MOST of his policy positions are in glaring opposition to other positions.
And I meal look, everyone changes their minds ... BUT HOLY CRAP ... this guy will change his mind from a speach he gives in the morning, to a speach in the afternoon, then flop back when he gives another in the evening.
He claimed union money was "special interest meddling in politics" ... right up until the unions started giving him their money suddenly he was "gladened by the support of representatives of working people."
He's been outspoken about the patriot bill but NOW all of a sudden he supports GREATER authority for the eavesdropping program and expanded immunity to telephone companies
He said he would accept public financing of a campaign ... and then rejected it.
In a two day time frame he has said he would give MORE grants to bush's program giving grants to religious groups for people in poverty, then said he opposed the program, then went back to supporting it again.
He has been outspoken FOR A LOT OF YEARS against the death penalty. He is still "anti-capital punishment". But suddenly supports it for child rapists (and incidentally ... I say fry the SOB that harms a child in that way)
And his position on oil drilling has become COMICAL. First he was against it. Then he was for it. Now he's for it but not in ANWR and not within 50 miles of the shore ... unless he's talking to environmentalists, then he's against drilling again.
Or how about his promise to meet with "foreign leaders of rogue nations during my first year of office without precondition." And now not two months later is claiming that he will only meet with leaders if it will advance us interests.
He's called Iran's Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization, a "peace keeping force", law enforcement,
IN A SINGLE Q&A on 60 minutes he went from saying the war needs a timetable that should be adhered to, to saying that the CIC needs flexibility to ignore a timetable.
He has gone from supporting "coal to liquid" programs to supporting them only if they emit 20% fewer carbons than conventional fuels ... in a two week span.
He has "strongly" opposed retroactive immunity to FISA and now supports it.
I could go on and on and on.
