So tonight I was offered a free trip to Vegas from Mon(3 days from today) til Friday. I've never been before and I'd love to go but none of my friends from home can come since they didn't have enough notice to take time off work. I'm debating whether or not to go, I don't know the area and I'm not the type to go to the bars by myself, just wondering if any other AMs will be in the area at the same time.
Anyone in Vegas next week?

I'd go if i were you. There's nothing really unsafe about it and people in some of the bars tend to be fairly friendly. Whats the worse that can happen you have less fun than staying at home? Also if you want a bar where everyone is super friendly and fun check out The Irish Pub right as you enter New York New York just to the left about a hundred ft from the main strip entrance. Quite a few hotties there to.

A free trip to Vegas?! You'd be crazy NOT to take them up on that offer.
As Eli already mentioned, most people are more outgoing and friendly than normal since they are on vacation. While it may not be quite as fun as going with a group of friends, it will still be 100x more entertaining than staring at your monitor by yourself all week.

My dad is actually going there on a business trip and his work said they'd pay for him to bring 1 family member. He is staying at the Venetian. He won't be able to hang out at all really since he will be working, thats why I figured I'd ask if anyone else was around there.
I actually might be there, still trying to decide if I want to go. Round trips from my town are just $150 and I have about 15 free nights saved up for any Harrah's property.
Venetian's about as central as you can be on the strip - Across the way you got the the Silicon Valley - aka the Fashion Show Mall. Chill spots in there for younger folk is Stripburger, Cafe Ba-Ba-Ree-Ba. (Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba has a selection of Sangria which is like chick crack.) Treasure Island has some Tiki/Island bar where out-of-town girls looking to hook up are a dime-a-dozen. The shot girls are super nice and will 'work' for you if you need them too. Get advice from them on where the hotspot is.
Make friends with everyone. This is KEY. You'll either meet tourists who want to have fun and get stupid, or locals who want to have fun and get stupid. Locals are clutch cause we usually know doormen / hotspots etc. Be friendly and non douche-like and you'll be fine. Don't wear Tennis shoes / janke-jeans past 6pm. Talk to everyone, be cool, have funny stories and you'll be a rockstar by 10pm.
Oh, and if a girl who's by herself approaches you for no reason whatsoever, and is really into your shit... Make sure your AMEX is paid up...
