How the presidental race will affect your taxes!

I'm not saying it is.

I just thought it was interesting how different their tax plans are. There are a lot of people on this forum, that could be drastically affected financially if Obama is elected.

I'm not saying one candidate is better than the other overall, I was just looking at this purely from a financial perspective this morning when I saw it.

It's not always about the money.

It's not your place to decide that for everyone else. If I want to give my money to the poor or to stem cell research or midnight fucking basketball, that should be MY choice, not the government's.

The problem with liberals is that they would rather have the power to decide for others (since they are intellectually superior and all) than to vote on issues that actually effect them. You get into an argument with some liberal, middle-upper class, heterosexual, white, civilian woman, married with 3 kids... about what? Gay marriage rights, the war, abortion, social welfare and slavery reparations.

Unlike the left, I prefer to actually vote on issues that effect ME -- give me my money, give me my security, give me my freedom and then LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE.

Speaking of money the American dollar needs to be worth something again. If you do any business outside of the US you know what a pain in the ass the falling dollar was. My vote goes for Obama on bringing that fucker back up.

Agreed. It should be your choice. But, it's not about the money. 100% taxes would be better than having a republican (christian fascist) president.

A real liberal don't want any power to decide over anyone but themselves, and they want as few laws and as low taxes as possible. So I think you're talking about socialists. Obama is social-liberal. The economic part is social while the other part is liberal.

I don't like the socialist part. But i dislike the conservative part with mccain even more, even though i agree with (almost) everythin he says about taxes etc.

I'm sure you do. But some people got this crazy idea of not always thinking about what is good for THEM. You might have all the freedom you need, but others don't (mainly because of inbred bible bashers).

So, do i want a president who probably talks to his imaginary friend at night, is against abortion and any kind of gay rights and thinks "intelligent" design is SCIENTIFIC (haha fucking retard)?... or do i want someone but with less fascist opinions even though it will affect everyones bottom line?

The answer to me, is pretty obvious.

When the fuck did Wickedfire become digg? Six months ago it was all about affiliate marketing, web design, SEO, etc, now I can't log in without tripping over political threads and conspiracy theories.

DanielJ, go fuck yourself straight to hell. I'm so fucking sick of you keyboard warriors. There are plenty of political forums on the net, and this isn't one of them.

I'm just going to assume that DanielJ is to Obama supporters as troofers are to Ron Paul supporters.

If all of Obama's supporters are this fucking stupid, this'll be an easy win for McCain.

I'll agree.
It's not always about the money. Though even if it was, I still think I'd still be better off with Obama.
For example, one of my concerns with McCain is the generational gap. There's constantly retarded legislation about the internet going up in front of the president and I'm not at all confident he could even come close to understanding the full implications of the internet bills he might see. And this could demolish a lot people's incomes(like my own).

Wow, two posts into the thread and you're already calling names. You lost that argument fast even for a liberal lol!

It's an election year. Come 2009, most of this shit'll drop unless the new president does some amazingly stupid shit, there's some sort of attack or a national disaster.
And then we'll have it all over again in 2012... just in time for the planet to kerplode.

Neither McCain nor Obama will be able to truly understand Internet Law. That's why they need to surround themselves with good people who can help them make informed decisions.

The same thing holds true of a CEO of a major corporation. They are just the face of the company, and they hire people to get the real work done.

My one concern is that McCain never uses a computer...not even to check email. It's a bit scary that the potential Leader of the Free World needs help to send a message.

Couple of key points no one is bringing up.

1) This is not the final draft of their tax codes. The Dems will control both houses of Congress so if Obama gets elected he'll have less obstacles than McCain at getting his tax code through without revisions.

2) Depending on margin of victory will dictate how strong of a Presidential mandate the next President will have. Did the eventual President actually lose the popular vote but win my electoral votes (like Bush in 2000) then his mandate will be weak, further hurting a candidate from getting his biggest pet projects through. If there is a clear margin of victory Congress will have little choice but to pony up with the winner.

Personally I'm voting for Obama (not that it matters much as I live in Cali which has been a blue state for decades). The biggest thing is because I'm a firm believer of meritocracy and all the recent ills (War, Recession etc.) have come under Republican watch. They had control of all three branches of government from 2000-2006 when most of the bad things going on started. If you aren't happy with the status quo then I can't see why we reward them for crappy management.

If I was a CEO for a company that was profitable before I took over, and 8 years later we had lost market share, forced to layoff and facing funding issues I would assume the board will replace me. Why should the most important position our country has to offer not be held to the same standard.

The more i hear about America, the more i am glad i don't live there, i feel fuckin bad for you guys.

Your Government absolutley blows fuckin BALLZ,

Yet youse all crack a hard on during the election campaigns?????????

some conservative step up and tell me anything that would
makes me believe McCain could competently make Internet law. Sorry to be blunt. But that actually affects us.
At least McCain is "aware of the internet"... Obama's camp hasn't made such a statement themselves, yet.
