What a bummer man, I have a forum that is not very large, but those of us that are members are pretty tight.

I have not checked one area of the forum in awhile and found out that one of our more prominent members died in his sleep the other night.

Im in absolute shock and bummin really bad, I have never met this man in person, but from the conversation I have had with him on our forum, what a hell of a guy!

damn. you never know when everything can end.

my best friend is serving his second tour in iraq right now
last time I spoke with him, an RPG hit the windshield of his humvee
and to think of it, I almost joined with him

Welcome to the real world. I think sometimes we forget that none of us are going to be around forever.

I've had a sizeable forum for all of 2006. In that time, one moderator almost (or did, I don't know) destroyed his marriage from flirting with other members, one member got another kidney transplant, and another member gave his kidney to that guy. At one point I thought how great it was that my forum helped people out, then I realised the positive is neutralised because of the bad shit that could, and probably will, happen as the forum ages.

The worst part of life is death, I never thought I could feel this way over someone that I had met and only communicated with online.

I am going to put my work off for some time tomorrow to build an online memorial for him

I give any of our troops 100% respect! Its getting really scarey over there. We have lost over 2 and a half thousand troops already and have had over 20 thousand injured

Well that kind of sucks, I have never met anyone that has died online because nobody has ever reported it. I mean I have probably met a few, but how do you find out if they are dead? Another member must report, I dunno

Sorry that you're bummed and all, but was this a forum for people in nursing homes?

yeah they're really fucked. they're fighting a losing battle which is part of a losing war.
Ramadi is the most dangerous part of Iraq.

Thats such a good point, on my forums two couples have met and proposed.. none of them have gone through with it yet

Relationships have also been hurt with innocent flirting in PMs etc

Dont ever leave your forum account logged in if your lady is around :costumed-smiley-013

The worst part of life is death, ...

I have a little different point of view on this subject. I think the worst part of life is not death. The worst part of life is not living, and making the most of the time your have with your friends and loved ones. Death is inevitable, if you live fearing and dreadind it, what kinda life is that?

Again this is the way i look at it based on my life's experiences, maybe im wrong to think this way.
