Looks like Obama's got Ohio, the BBC (who are being cautious) have it at 200-124.

McCain can't come back from this... can he?

Note to Popeye: There are places you can call that will help you if you feel like ending it all. An election isn't worth it.

I still get to bitch though - and so did anyone who DIDN'T vote for him.
 
Looks like McCain is done. There is Florida... and who knows what the GOP can pull out of their ass.

CNN walked through the possibilities (or lack thereof) of winning for McCain. Not happening. What's interesting is the national popular vote is 50/49 as of right now.

As an Independent who was behind McCain I'll certainly be behind Obama as an American. In a way, I'm excited to see what he can do. So, well done.

Ball's in the Democrat's court. Don't fuck up.
 
Do you guys think a straight popular vote would be a good idea? I haven't been following the political threads on WF as of late and I haven't researched what the effects would be. What do you think?

No. If there was no electoral vote then half the states in the U.S. would be totally ignored by both candidates because they just don't have enough people to matter.
