Er, how could it help me from distractions? It's bad enough by myself, how could it possibly get any better with a room full of noise and 20 people to talk to? I'd be all mackin' on the little cutie Asian nerd, getting everyone to watch Jizz in My Pants, and whatever else I could come up with.

I suppose it might be distracting for some, but personally I focus better even if there's lots of people around, like working at a coffee shop.

Just a good way for people to collab, get different perspectives on things. Probably not good everyday.
