Was hanging out at the Intersection downtown, the Pend Suspension group which I've shot before at Dirty Show 9 last year invited me for another event. Here's some pictures I shot earlier tonight. I just got home a little bit ago so I haven't had time to pick thru all the pictures yet.

Andy, Tabby along side with "Porno Santa"

That's about what I got processed so far.

I'll post more later if anyone is interested.

I have to say I really respect people who like that sort of shit.. That takes some balls. I'm heavily into tattoos and I'm having my sleeve done next week but that suspension shit is way too hardcore for my taste.

Which is probably odd in contrast, that I as their photographer for several event...
-never been pierced.
-never been inked
-never been a participant of suspension.

I started shooting them when I hooked up with Tabby and her boyfriend to do some model shots, and then start shooting some of the events.

(That's my kid they're holding by the way... gota love that expression lol)

Btw, you might want to down.. i mean buy Noise Ninja or other software that removes noise with good results. I used to photograph quite a lot so I know how fucking nasty those ISO 1600-3200 shots can be to get them look good.

That's rather contradictory to photojournalism. (and I don't always understand some people's obsession with plastic), some of those were ISO 400 by the way. It's mainly the underexposure causing the background noise.

Next time someone tells me I am fucked up, I will point them to this thread. Thank you.

You didn't get his permission to post his man boob.

Well, I like my pictures free from digital noise.. which is by the way much different from normal film grain. Film grain is cool but digital noise looks just amateurish.

:P And you'd still be a douche because in this case I shot the image, and I did so with his permission, and it is not being used in a commercial sense. You on the other hand did not shoot the past image, big fucking difference.

Ni shots KB - I love the familyshot, what did you use it for?

Something like that would make for some nice print advertising I think.. lol in the right market, it comical..

what do you shoot with?

I could seeing as I did get model releases signed each time I shoot with them.

what do you shoot with?

From that time to now, a Pentax K10D. It ain't bad for a 500$ camera. (was bout 600$ at beachcamera.com then 100 rebate)

And one of the lens I got previously an old manual focus tamron adaptall-2 90mm f/2.8 macro only cost me about 50$

Full picture.

I got the pentax to replace my dying Canon digital rebel, couldn't afford the 30D/40D and most the lens I had were adaptall-2 so was easily changed to a pentax mount. The freaky family shot was with a Pentax DA40mm f/2.8 Limited edition, but unfortunately over the last year I had to sell most of my camera equipment to cover bills, so I'm down to a Pentax-FA 35-70 f/3.5-4.5, Pentax-M 50/1.4 and the Tamron 90/2.8 macro. And can't really use the 50mm because the AF assist isn't very accurate at 1.4

Shot this earlier this year at the Dirty Show 9 with the 50/1.4

There's hardly any noise in his photos (other than the ones on stage) so I don't quite know what you are going on about?

Other than that, interesting post and cool photos.

He may be just dispensing general advice, knowing that web-sized images normally appear cleaner than the full resolution image.

Or he could be like most people I know, and associate texture with noise, and expecting 'noise-free' to mean people who look like plastic barbie dolls and lacking texture.
