google now deactiving accounts running acai

Imagine their first credit card statement with a colon cleanser and acai monthly rebill on it for in excess of $100.00. That charge is usually billed 14 days after your free sample is shipped, so at max, you have 3-5 days to return ship it before you are charged.

I'd rather have a lower payout, friendlier customer terms and many more years of promoting health supplements instead of months

When all IM's get banned across the board for promoting the "dynamic duo" in this fashion, we'll have nobody to blame but ourselves.

You can almost smell the FTC getting ready to clamp down on weight loss "continuity" billing for good. In the end, the greed for max epc will kill the miracle berry and it's clever business model. Next.....

I saw this coming for a while. There are way too many people complaining about Acai Berry all over the place and I bet there are stupid ones who are contacting google about it too.

Fucking .

I went to my Recipe site for a month straight and all I saw was bullshit carriesdietblog, amandasdiet, blah blah blahhhhhhhhhhhh. ad's on adsense. (although my earnings per click skyrocketed)

I wonder if the non-blog guys will take it in the ass too. Like the review sites for the acai/colon free trials.

this is bullshit

Yes, it was a bit vague. However this message came from one of our publishers via our training forum. He did in fact have his account shutdown which had other campaigns running in it.

Not a campaign slap. Account shutdown.

Dont know the nature of the ads or running or anything like that, we just know that his account was shutdown.

Im soo sick of G wielding its power at will...
SOMEONE pls come with a better ad platform to challenge these a holes

Anyone remember when google allowed this banner to run on AdWords?

According to the guy who ran the ad, over 400 people actually clicked the ad during it's campaign.
...
During this period, my ad was displayed 259,723 times and clicked on 409 times. That’s a click-through-rate of 0.16%. My Google Adwords campaign cost me only €17 ($23). That’s €0.04 ($0.06) per click or per potentially compromised machine. 98% of the machines ran Windows (according to the User Agenthttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_agent string).

I think this forum together probably has more coding power and marketing power than Sergey, Larry and all other faggoty forums combined. We could probably pull it off. We can call It Gaygle

hey all,

i'm the pub in question who got the acct shut down. let me see if i can fill in the blanks for some folks. I posted that email above about a campaign slap to demonstrate the vagueness of their communication and also the focus on the diet/weight loss arena. i've been promoting acai via several networks for a few months now. but here's the real issue. i have maybe 20 other campaigns running on that acct that were not weight-related and they slapped them even before they got slapped the acai one. bottom line is they nixed all campaigns and when i tried to recreate them they shut down the acct. the shame of it is that they arent' telling me specifically why they did so and i've spent a boatload with them this year. been advertising with them for 5 yrs now and never a problem.

i'm over it. one day they wont have the monopoly.

for what you were spending on crappy google scamclicks, you could build a trillion autoblogs. In 6 months, you'd have more traffic than u could handle.

until they get deindexed for being autoblogs...

Reading this thread makes me wonder do people actually believe that in an open marketplace like google that anyone is going to not do something based on future thinking? I highly doubt it. If everyone else is running lower paying out offers, then someone is going to come in and dominate with a higher paying one. If someone comes in with a higher paying one then someone is going to come in with a combo higher paying one. At the end of the day things are driven by EPC and market forces or better technology ( the ringtones guy/s the can own spot 1-10 ).

It's as with most things, it sucks. As I'd prefer to have campaigns that were lower charging and lower paying that drove the market prices for clicks down. The natural progression of markets forces it in the other direction.

A perfect example of this is the mortgage market. Everyone was pushing the limits, if you didn't lie to your clients the next guy would and you'd lose the deal. it's quite possible the selling products like with share-a-sale maybe the world of the future. But we'll see what the future holds.

At the end of the day the market is the market. People will do what they can to make the most money possible. And if we all come together and decide not to do what we can to keep things not blown out. There's such a low barrier to entry to this business that the new guy will find something that works and always do it. Regardless of long term consequences.

Well said Smax. Basically, if you can't stand the heat, stay the fuck out of the kitchen.

Smax,

The low barrier to entrance only exists on PPC. I have little to no competition with $40k display buys. I'd like to see some noob throw down $40k for a test and $20k to hopefully work out the kinks.
