No they're not grandfathered in, they shut all of the non cloaked ones down before christmas. People are getting them up by cloaking to something else.
They shut down all mine that were active, however the few that were paused were not, and I just unpaused them recently. I created the ads in April for a totally different campaign and now redirected them to my acai lander. Grandaddy ftw. Its prob possible to get some through still, but its extremely difficult and time consuming.
I'm sure the few I unpaused will be banned by tomorrow, especially since some douche will report them, but I got my $ worth.

If it were that easy it wouldn't work anymore. No split testing ads, copy, design. You think you just going to throw something up and get on the first shot? Come on man your smarter then that. Any of the things I mentioned can improve returns as much as 300 percant plus.
The design you see is not the first design. It was originally orange and then last night I changed it to blue, and also added the popup thing (which is gone now). I did split test but probably not enough.
I had 12 different ads running, but I made the wrong assumption that any click is a good click and just pumped more cash into any ad generating impressions. I would have looked more closely at which ads actually converted, but I only had 3 conversions to go by!
yeah i pretty much gave up on acai in myspace right now. spent like 5,000 testing sent like 14,000 clicks. the most i got back was like 500 clicks max. ive tried 3 different landers. not styles but whole different landers like blog styler, review style, pre sell style, and even tried direct linking. nothing worked. blog style lander got me closest to breaking even but at the end of the day i was still miles away from breaking even.
I dunno what it is about myspace or what people are doing or how they are targeting there audience so perfect that they get profit let alone click through rate over 10% but im gonna be honest. when my pages dint work i went to the top guys who were pushing acai all over myspace and i copied a page and changed the images and name and thats about it. ran it with same ad and a new ad to split test and nothing different. ive tried targeting huge broad range group, and finally narrowing it down to about 3 million and i still couldn't break even.
I still think myspace is trash traffic, some people just know how to work with trash and make money out of it.

Man, you were really determined to make acai work with Myspace eh? I mean you tested 14K clicks and still couldn't make it work? It doesn't really sound like you were tweaking enough between clicks. Send 100, check ROI, tweak, send another 100, rinse repeat. Sounds like you sent 1000, then maybe made some changes, sent another 1000 etc especially when you are saying you had such a shitty CTR. An acceptable CTR obviously depends on what niche you are promoting, but for acai personally I would want a minimum 25% CTR.
On another note, why didn't you quit earlier instead of burning through that much cash?
That was my problem. I should NOT have run this shit at night. Also, I've learned that the most important statistic is bounce rate on your webpage. Mine was 95%, which is awful, and I expect it to be awful, but it shouldn't be awful. That's the stat you should watch..
Your lander sucks ass dude and fake as hell. Try putting some effort in and making something original and believable. No wonder you got burned. People are catching on to the scams.
seriously. try to not make every single fucking acai and colon keyword an affiliate link - the whole thing just screams fake.

it just gets to you when you see the same lander on every myspace page and its been there for weeks and his page is no better than yours. yet somehow hes managed to make money and you with your similar sometimes almost exactly duplicate of the site can't even make 10% of your money back.
I know thats a pretty shitty thing to bring up and i know someone will say something along the lines of how i don't test my pages i just copy or something but to be honest ive cross over from search and every page ive built there had great success or at least sucess to a point where i could tweak it and make a killing. when you cross over into myspace traffic and you got these killer landers that are pulling 5-6$ epc and they cant even get you 0.30 epc on myspace traffic its discouraging. then im trying other tactics that seem to work for people and all it does is bring that epc up 30-40 cents. frustrated with no other ideas i can think of i copy up a site i see on the top to see if maybe something hes doing is working. test the page change it up put my own personal touch, site wont do any better than the one i built.
it fucks with your head a lot. it discourages you from wanting to test any further and im sure i've forgotten a lot of the basics of marketing just because what i've come to know thats worked isn't doing shit with this traffic. justed wanted to vent lol i hate myspace traffic right now.

1 comment although I dont know if it would make a huge difference or not. The after picture looks sort of professional because its on a background. You may want to get her standing in ont of a couch or in front of a wall or something so that people really think its a personal blog.
