As someone who hasn't reached SUPER DUPER affiliate status yet, I will unfortunately be required to get a real job in May in order to continue eating.

I went to a career fair at my university today, and the place was literally packed full. I even saw a guy I knew who graduated last year and still hasn't found a job. I knew the job market was shit, but it really hit home when I was talking to a rep from one of the larger companies in attendance. She told me they were only able to hire seven people. Seven, in a company of thousands.

Fuck. I think I'll just do grad school and put off the real world crap for another couple years.

Indiana was hit pretty hard since there's such a huge manufacturing base there.
Good luck.

I'm an IT guy. That's the depressing part, everybody 'needs' IT, but as soon as things go to shit, they're the first to go.

It's not just Indiana though, I was talking to companies from Wisconsin, Virginia, Texas, everywhere.

Shit man, that really sucks.
I'm dead serious when I ask: Do you have enough money to get a plane ticket to another country?
English Teaching exchanges, other than Japan, are still doing ok.
The IT sector is still fairly strong here and in Ireland (of all places)
And there's also cruise ship work, if you can bring yourself to do it. Shit house pay, but no tax as you're in international waters, and all your expenses are taken care of.

you know it's fucked when people are searching for good deals on free trials. come on it's $1.00, how much cheaper does it need to be?

If you start working hard on your campaigns now, there's no reason why you wouldn't be making enough to live off by the time you graduate.
I joined WF about the same time you did, been doing affiliate marketing part time while in college, and am making quite a bit more than an office job could offer me.
You should be able to do the same.

Eh, I've had ups and downs with AM. I was making more than enough to live on off of dating offers through facebook for awhile, but that fell through a couple months ago.

You're right though, I should probably find something that works and soon.

You got a fantastic point there. The economy is the main reason why I moved to Brazil. English teachers, per example, if they are native speakers can charge up to U$20 bucks per hour.... if take into consideration that most of the population here earns U$180 a month, you can have a pretty damn good life.

Also the Acai berries taste better.... LMAO

If you've been successful with Facebook before, you can definitely be successful with Facebook again, especially now that they're relaxing their ad requirements. Browse the adboard, see what others are advertising, throw up a few campaigns, test, scale, and you'll be making $XXX on Facebook in no time.

I'm a college student and here's my advice:

stop buying clothes, stop eating out, try to make spending a last resort.

do whatever you can to get what you need before deciding to spend money to get it.

ask yourself: is there a way i can get this without spending money? (but don't steal)

$180/month? How much to honestly live a great life though (eat the best, live in a great house, good clothing)?

And also, I was thinking about going there this summer for vacation. Any cities you recommend for a good time?

I'm not an idiot bro. I can't remember the last time I bought clothes, I spent a grand total of $15 on my couch, I don't really eat out ever anymore, etc.

You can have a good living with about U$1500 a month income.
A good city? I would recommend the Northeast beaches (Recife, Natal, Salvador, etc)

FREE is always keyword. People are easy to lure when they heard that powerful word.

And that my friend is why folks are getting laid off.

I thought you were one of these big time affiliates that everyone else around here appears to be... I know how you feel bud, I cant seem to do any better than break even these days. Dating is my main game too.

Doesn't surprise me coming from a ppc-coach student.
