What are the Advantages of Dedicated Server over VPS and Shared Hosting ?

I am a newbie in affiliate marketing and currently have shared hosting
with 1 and 1.com.

Is this really bad to use shared hosting ?
Or should i get a VPS or Dedicated Server ?

Don't get a VPS/Dedi until you need the resources.

Try Zen hosting ... a link is floating in the forums... nice cheap hosting or grab hostgator also sweet though not as cheap. Though using 'wordpress' (in vouchers) will get you first month for $0.01 which is nice.

Dedicated servers offer these advantages:

1. Multiple IP addresses.
2. 100% flexibility - PHP, Curl, .Net -- it's your server put what you fucking want on it.
3. No worries about your hosting company shutting you down for your blackhat crap.

If you are planning to build a domain network -- start off with your own server. The costs and hassles will quickly become worthwhile.

If you are only into paid traffic -- I wouldn't consider a dedicated server a 'must-have'.

Until your host starts getting abuse notices that you're fucking with their IPs. Yes, it's unlikely that would happen but you're not immune.

Judging from your post, you'll be fine with shared hosting. I seriously doubt you're doing much traffic or have any resource intensive scripts running if 1and1 has allowed you to stick around.
