I see they don't have the transcript up anymore but a really cool new thing will be turn by turn direction apps! No need for a separate gps unit anymore.
 
new iphone not that impressive. give me a camera on the front and some video conferencing shit already.
 
Thinking about getting the new mac book pro...


Anyone have any pros/cons on 13 vs 15 inch laptops?...all laptops in general not just mac...

I think that AT&T is holding apple back a lot...there is a lot of features that they could do be AT&T is probably scared of it overloading their network, just like voip and teathering...

maybe , but nothing new is even kinda making me consider throwing down for a newer iphone. Pretty sad when they have the market share the do now.

I watched the whole guided tour and there wasn't a single "wow" moment at all. I mean, voice activation and copy / paste, great, way to include shit that should have been in the first iphone 2 years ago.
 
I don't really get the need for video conferencing on a mobile phone. It's just not that high up on the priority list.

I am happy about the better battery life and tethering! Everything else is meh.

Snow Leopard looks pretty hot though. Processing via the video card seems like it could make things a lot smoother. Definitely look forward to the OS update.
 
I may get a new iphone based on the fact that the original iphone is slow as shit and it pisses me off.

Yeah, pretty bad "upgrade"...the only thing that will make it sell is it's the "new" iphone, and faster hardware/battery.


everything on this one should have been on the original...it's amazing how a phone so ahead of everyone else lacks such simple features...

Ordered the new iphone 3gs today. I was wanting to upgrade since I still have the original iphone (EDGE SUCKS).

I got the 32gb white.

Also looking forward to the new laptops.
 
Anyone who buys a 3GS who already owns a 3G is a schmuck. What are you getting extra? a megapixel and a compass. Most of the improvements are in the software, which is available for the original 3G too.

Speaking of which, I am considering getting rid of my HTC Diamond now that the iPhone has push notifications, finally shit can run in the background.. kind of. Looking at a 3G on ebay with a cracked shell, I can replace it myself so it will be cheap as chips. I'm not a big fancy high flyer who needs 32gb on a phone, I only have like 6gb of music on my computer anyway, heck I'm still using a Philips HDD-100 mp3 player from 2003 in my car...

Did you miss the whole fact that the 3Gs has a faster processor speed and 3.5G internet as opposed to 3G?

Haha, 4G? Their not competing on 4G yet, who can throw that up to even challenge them? A couple years off yet me thinks.

The processor is about twice as fast, that's about all I could really care about.

There's really marginal amount of battery life added. ATT needs to get their shit together, there going to be last to offer MMS and tethering? Fucking retarded. But when there's not that much competition guess you can be douche bags.
 
ATT needs to realize what their money train is... because they are FUCKING up this whole iphone thing.
