I'm portuguese myself and I hate him. He's got great skills but no quality as a person. Nothing comparable to Luis Figo or Rui Costa.

Luis had the ability to lead the Portuguese squad no matter what, Ronaldo starts bitching at fans when they boo him out bc he plays like crap for Portugal. I still don't get how Ronaldo can be the captain of our national team.

He may be overpriced but if you think about how many jerseys he sold at ManU and how many girls love him, dayum. Thats a nice chunk of merchandising monies there.

Only regarded as the best football player in the world right now, though that is debatable. He's a little faggot though. He dives all over the place; grabs his face if someone lays a hand on his shoulder, grabs his left leg if his right get touched, and cries like a little girl (quite literally) when things don't go his way.

I just want to slap the guy every time I see his face which is apparently going to be much more often than I would like now that he will be playing in La Liga.

The only people in the world that don't care about football are those in North America, and for good reason; you can't compete at a high enough level to matter. Don't get me wrong, I'm Canadian, and football is a fringe sport at best there too. It is however the most popular sport in the rest of the world watched by billions. Once you actually experience it in its natural environment it is fantastic.

On top of all that, one of the logos I created has graced the front of an English Premiership jersey for the last 3 seasons with another to go.

Wrong, we created a better game, called football. I guess in reverse the rest of the world couldn't compete in that because their too busy being a bunch of pussies kicking a round ball around (and trying to talk tons of junk about how we aren't passionate about our sports).

I at least respect Canada, hockey is a pretty physical game.
 
i used to watch football when ManU was dominating..but it is just getting bored. They spend like half of the game passing backward.

I think the reason why football is most popular is because it is the simplest game to watch and play. There aren't as many rules and plays as basketball/football/baseball.
