it´s always like that... not everyone likes the same movies. otherwise we would all watch the same movies and everyone in this thread would have posted the same movies.

It was a painfully predictable feel good movie, with an equally predictable bittersweet ending, which I normally abhor, but for some reason I just really liked it. I'm not proud, but as others here have made the same recommendation I'm going to assume I wasn't alone.

He said the last 1-2 years. If you liked City of God, you are doing yourself a great disservice if you've not seen Tropa de Elite.

It's just a simple, character-driven movie like almost every other Eastwood flick of the past 15 years or so. If you like Eastwood movies in general, you'll probably like it.

I think movies like that just need to end bad.. otherwise it just wouldn´t have felt right. i think more "realistic" movies just need such endings.. it´s like in the wrestler.. i somehow just makes such movies better... but maybe its just me >.<
 
Gran Torino was decent... Had hoped for a little more, but all in all a good movie. In other news, just watched Knowing yesterday and wow that really sucked (more than i would have thought)
 
I though crash is bad..and then i saw gran torino. Now with Crossing Over we can have a trilogy
 
Watched Terminator Salvation , action is SICK. CGI is amazing and looks real, so real that film makers in the 1960s could only dream of. The story/plot is bland and doesn't really makes sense but who cares, the action is crazy.

Overall I give it a 3/5.
