So you see a thread in your speciality, and the thread comes to a conclusion that you know is blatantly wrong. You want to point it out, but you know anything that goes mainstream in forums is almost a waste of time. I let it fly. You do the same?

Wait, how is it a waste of time if your advice goes mainstream?
If it goes mainstream, doesn't that mean everyone is now using your advice? So that would make it a success...

Your post confuses me, so I'm gonna say yes.

Say it. That's what makes a forum good.

I love boob threads as much as the next guy, but you can get that anywhere.

It's easy enough to disagree with somebody in a diplomatic manner.

Start with "That's interesting, but in my personal experience...."

No need to start with "You don't have a fucking clue Noob..."

I'm sorry but i completely 100% disagree with you on this one. There are several huge advantages of outing your own secrets to the public and there are several huge advantages to absorbing those ideas.

The first and best reason to out a technique to the public is the benefits of retirement. When your the first to hit a technique you have the clear advantage. You rise to the top of the money scale for that technique very quickly. Inevitably there are copy cats that will catch what you're doing. Those few copy cats still end up making good money which gives them means to rise highly eventually dogging you. So if you are at the top with total monenization and you start seeing copy cats, the fastest way to keep everyone low is to bring them tons of competitors. Out the secret to what your doing, they all get buried and end up competiting and fighting for your scraps. This ensures your place at the top for longer than if you just let those copy cats go unchecked. Don't act surprised by hearing that. Its what all the true pros do. You think you're hearing something unique and hot that managed to slip....ooops :) when in reality thats exactly what they want you to think. You still benefit from it but not nearly to the degree they will. Some pros even go as far as providing free tools and scripts so people can copy what they did. This works best because then you can control exactly what they do and lower your percentage of people being unique and doing something that steals your edge.

The best reason to utilize the stuff people out on forums and public places follows the first reason. If you get in early you WILL make money. Most are proven to and work extremely well especially if you're quick about it. Just because a market is saturated doesn't mean there isn't money to be made off it. The best advice i can give is take every single technique you hear to heart and then just add your own little unique spin on it that no one else is doing. Just using a little creativity makes every technique like a whole new niche.
