If you are thinking of trying Windows 7 you can get a one year license free here Windows 7 Release Candidate Customer Preview Program. Best OS I have used yet.
No issues with 7 but vista was a nightmare.Have any of you running it encountered any software compatibility problems or had trouble with drivers / devices? Seems like every new Windows OS has these issues.

Except for the small fact that in October these licenses are all set to expire when the product is released in stores.
After that the system will re-start the computer every 2 hours.
Its best to place the RC in a virtual PC and not to install it as your main OS.
Its not the OS thats the issue its Firefox its a huge resource pig especially when you are running multiple add-ons.
I like 7, once you get used to the differences.
The only incompatability I've found so far is dragon naturally speaking 10. It won't install a required file (.net maybe?), but from memory I think this was a 64bit vs 32bit problem, not a xp/vista/7 problem.
