That something else is pretty fucking broad. I can think of a lot of shit music out there that is infinite gay compared to trance.
 
Kaveman.. only real webmasters and techies listen to Trance.. Gawd, haven't you seen the movie Hackers?! ;)

Agreed, except the infinite part. mmmm listen to .... jazz, at least that has musical complexity, history, and some thing other than gayness :xomunch:

I like some Jazz...I like some trance...I like a wide variety expect for country, that shit I could never get into.
 
I don't mind hearing about trance tracks...stations etc. because I have no clue about that type of music.

I don't like the gayish keyboard melodies I hear all the time in the genre however. Also, I can't stand when they pick some spoken phrase and keep repeating it (using every different effect available in the studio) to the point of extreme annoyance. Mozart it's not...but the darker stuff is cool and great to party to.

Only reason why I listen to trance is I rolled my ass off in college. :hollering: I hated the shit before that and now when I hear it... I get in that mood.

Uhm yeah it did have history. Jazz was brought about from early slaves who sang in the fields and then as they were freed and could accually learn classical music, they combine things such as a 12/4 beat of blues(again which came from african shout and response) with classical musical notes and ides from being in marching bands.

I've seen Rusted Root. They have that drummer and percussionist side by side, which is totally nuts. I involuntarily did a little "groove dance" when they started kick'n it... that sweet sounding. Nice flute playing as well. :bigear:
