Whats your vision for the next "acai" ?

So now that all the me-too copycat LPs are out there, your flog/farticle/narticle/review site has been copied 20 different ways, networks are nervous, the Big 3/FTC/media are cracking down on "free", etc and basically the game is changing, what would you want in the "perfect" new offer to promote if you were building it from scratch?

Taking the good and the bad, and what you have learned from ringtones/bizopps/acai/teeth whitening/grants/dating/whatever. All of them have their pros and cons, but what would the "perfect offer" have? Would you want it to be a CPA or flat commisison, would it be a membership, a consumable, etc? In short, what kind of offer have you always just thought you could kill it on with what you know now, but no network is offering it. Putting your thinking cap on, what would the "next biggest thing" affiliate offer include/look like to you?
 


I am not going to tell you where the big money will be. Any idiot with half a brain could figure it out.

But I will tell you that as the FTC cracks down and the big 3 ban all the offers from their networks, it's only a matter of time until the other companies get enough complaints to ban the offers from THEIR networks.

After that there will be a period of affiliate marketing reshuffling so-to-speak, in which the weak affiliates who only know how to sell rebills will either adapt or die (many will die or branch out into other types of moneymaking on the net).

The strong affiliates will continue to promote other CPA offers and some will continue to promote rebills via email marketing.

Now you want to know where the big money will be which I said I wouldnt tell you. I already know where the big money is going to be, and the reason I am not telling you is I want to make sure I am a part of it. The more people who get handed the information for free, the lesser piece of the pie available to me.

The tiny morsel I will give you is this: As you have read in this forum, rebills have existed for a very long time. Netflix and columbia house are successful rebills. Rebills will still exist in a different form and whether you are banking on them or not is dependent solely on your SAT I score. You will only bank if your SAT I is higher than mine. It's not very high: 1360 Math+Verbal combined.
 
Talking about rebills and recent affilate cleanup, my account just got slapped with 1 QS for an entire campaign! I'd stay out of rebills for now if i were you, at least til all the dust are settling down.

I'm looking at this more from the perspective of an affiliate manager/network putting together a brand-new offer. What could an AM/network put together that affiliates could be successful long-term with, and not run into the problems that have plagued all the other stuff mentioned above.

"what will be the next big thing" is probably the most asked question in all of affiliate marketing. (other than "how do i get my ppc/seo/banner/ppv/mail campaigns to work?")

If I were a betting man, I'd say the perfect offer is one that has no cons, 100% conversion rate and 100% customer retention rate so you don't get shaved...any ideas?
 
I think the next wave to be experienced will be in the extreme weight loss/diet niche

This is the product I am looking at right now.

the next acai is a tapeworm in a bottle. tapeworms really do cause you to lose weight, as they steal your nutrition. if you just shipped peeps tapeworms 40-100 lbs in a few months could really be real.

of course then you have to get the tapeworm out...
 
80% of my sales are not from CPA or rebills. I think we should think outside of the box. If we all do what everyone else is doing, very soon the profit will dry out.
 
a thicker site, with more avenues of monetization, a branded name/interface, and that can't be picked off as simply as a landing page to a CPA offer.

(read: go ahead and steal it and start generating sales/leads for _____ - good luck finding an affiliate program for it)
