Periodically you read a thread where someone (we'll say "Noob") is asking about getting into a certain niche (lets say "adult") and sooner or later someone says "Noob the adult market is too saturated" or "There's no money in it cuz...(insert lame response here)"
I've heard the same said about ringtones. "You got into ringtones too late"
And gambling "There used to be money in promoting gambling, but not anymore"
Often the naysayers are people that aren't involved in the niche they are putting down.
So, how saturated does a market have to get before it's no longer a viable niche?
Also, if you've heard that niche "whatever" is oversaturated, do you just give up on it and move on? Or do you go out and do your own research? If you do your own research, what are you looking at or how did you conduct that research?
