I'm sure we could all find whichever landing page he copied by going to all of the Adsonar sites (which are all shown on AdSonar's main page) and click on all of the text ads... we'll probably find whichever lp he copied. It's not like these flogs are a big secret anymore.

Seriously, are some of the people here just angry because they don't make any money? Or is this just where you finally get your "revenge" for being picked on by the big kids at school when they wouldn't let you sit at their lunch table?
I'm simply looking for feedback from professional marketers, preferably adults, who may have some insight that I do not have. I would venture to guess I've made more money online than many people here, but at the same time I'm sure there are others who have made more, and can share their perspective.
If you want to be a flamer, well then I guess thats your choice, but I think it takes away from the value of this forum.

If it's an advertiser why would he run through copeac/cx digital? I would think they just direct link?
Now this is the type of answer I was looking for. Thanks for that. I wasn't sure how adsonar worked as far as historical data, etc. And, being that he may be an advertiser (or a network insider), that also makes more sense.
I have another version of it doing ok for me on Yahoo. 10-12 sales a day with limited spending. About 40%-50% ROI. Only 4 keywords that really convert cheaply. I get $38/sale and the traffic converts about 6% once they hit the landing page.
I had it running on Google for a while at 300% ROI but got slapped with low LP QS.
At least half of the repliers in this thread thus far make more money than you do. And it's not about revenge, it's about flaming people who make retarded posts.
Any insight that you do not have? Nobody is gonna give away their best kept secrets for free. Read windjc's reply because thats probably the most you're gonna get. I can add my own 2 cents: Most people fail on adsonar because they do EXACTLY what you did. It's a very competitive marketplace and the advertising is not contextual. You're gonna have to pay to play, and pay a lot. Copying someone's LP will not work, you need a better LP than that. Heck, you should be split testing at least 5 LP's anyways.
The main problem is you haven't done nearly enough work to try and make the traffic source profitable. You came on here with a post showing a half-assed attempt at adsonar. If you really make a ton of money then you should know better. Come back here after you have a week's data and multiple split-tests completed.

Maybe the affiliate knows you're an affiliate and is serving you a shitty converting landing page hint hint.

While you don't have to be such an asshole about it, I agree. Threads like this get thrown into the shitter all the time. They start off with someone new to the forum posting a question that is legitimate but which some people think shouldn't be posted on a public forum. If you are one of those people, just GTFO of the thread and ignore it. Don't come in here and trash the guy for asking a question that any sensible person would ask themself in his situation.

I've been lurking here since Jan. and I visit almost everyday and, from what I see the forums are getting worse and worse, especially the affiliate marketing section. I was like WTF?! Most of the threads in the affiliate marketing section in the last few months are worthless. People ask questions here and they get bashed, and other members post replies with sarcasm, post the dickroll link..

doing this shit fucks up the original affiliate's campaign - this douche bag posts this, then 3 (or 30) other guys go to Adsonar and look for the site, copy it and try it. All of this will damage the original guys campaign in some way shape or form.
unless you have come up with an original idea, had it ripped 1000x, causing it to be ruined and banned everywhere you will not get where I'm coming from.

It's pretty easy to figure out by reading some of the replies in this thread the people who actually know how to market and the ones that don't.
I've lurked here for quite some time. I never post because I see what happens to people who post questions. I finally do, and bam, everybody is pissed. I outed the landing page without reading the rules. Then I fixed it and people are still pissed. Such a clicky group here, its sad really. I typically don't do forums, I just do work. Ventured out of my comfort zone into the acai arena and figured I'd try to get feedback. And I did get a couple of good answers. Thanks for that. The rest is what it is. I always copy a landing page I like, and try to duplicate everything so I have a baseline to work from before doing all of my own edits. I've done that for 8 years. I have no doubt I'll figure out the acai/health niche on my own eventually.
I netted a little over a million last year doing PPC and lead gen. Not trying to brag, because I know thats not near as much as a lot of people here, but I'm just trying to establish that I'm not some random jackoff. I'm trying to learn more every day and expand into other arenas. I guess I should trust my instincts and ask questions in other forums, as the majority here doesn't seem keen to really help one another. Funny thing is, I've received private messages from some nice folks.

Just don't post what you've done and your findings publicly like this here. There are a TON of lurkers and leachers that will have a fucking field day. You have to keep shit on a down low. Whether what you've found sucked or not, keep that shit to yourself man.
AdSonar cares a lot about your advertising history and account quality. In other words you gotta spend some money before you establish yourself. Also, use their tracking pixel and if you have a good account rep they will be able to optimize on their end.

For the most part, I've yet to see a WELL WRITTEN n00b question that got bashed. 99% of them are 1-2 word sentences written by some asshole who thinks he can skip all the introduction, skip the meat of the story, and simply say "What networks should I join?" or "Please show me how to make money", or "Please share with me how YOU do it".
If you guys would simply take the time to write out a coherent, well thought out introductory post that shows you give a crap, I don't see the problem. The good guys will chime in eventually.
Understand I'm only playing Devil's Advocate here with you as you're a good guy, but WHY does it matter either way? Who cares about the association of your name to the page? Now you seem to be worried about YOUR reputation and not your lander being ripped off. Most of us are worried about outing LPs because of the fact every nitwit with a copy of Dreamweaver will copy it and make our jobs harder. But you seem to be telling me that your own reputation is what you're concerned about here. Thats a new one!
