Well I just tried to call google on their usual 1-866-2google number with an adwords account issue.

So far, I was always connected to a rep after a LONG wait.

But not so Anymore! Now the fucking recording only says go to the help section on the website and then hangs up on you!

What the fuck is wrong with google???

Anyone have an extension I can call?

Thanks!

PS: We need a FUCK GOOGLE post icon, the Fuck one just isn't adequate.

A lot of companies are doing this. Comcast is actually funny.

I normally just write a big check about once per quarter to cover things in advance.

Occasionally things like Payperview or whatever means that I run out before the quarter is up. No big deal since you get that pretty little "overdue" notice.

Anyway, I called in the other day to see if they would reset my boxes since they weren't working after the storm knocked our power out. Instead of getting put through to "service" I get an automated message telling me how to pay the bill..... and then it hangs up on you :)

For the record I've actually had a positive balance for months with them, and a check was in the mail during that time. Overdue at the point of calling in by about a day or two.

Took me a few minutes of throwing a temper tantrum to call back and hit zero and star until I got a live person to help reset the boxes. I noticed during this button pushing spree though that I would have to pay a "FEE" to pay my bill through the phone.

My guess though is that crap like this is going to be the norm. See it all over the place. If you want to interact with a 'person' -- your going to pay for it (or just not get the option).

Want to pay your cable bill through the phone: $4.95 charge.

Want to pay your utility bill on-line? 5 to 10 percent convenience fee will be tacked on.

Want to do anything at your bank involving a person - fee.

Your going to be paying for support or "live" help. Eventually your grocery store will be charging you to have someone ring you up instead of using self checkout.

Qwest is really interesting.

Their automated system actually seems like a real person. "Let me send a signal to your modem"

The funny part is.. you do all the automated stuff with someone who clearly lives in the United States and then you get connected with someone you can't understand from India.

Nothing against Indian's but really.. if you can't speak english to the point that you don't even understand what you're saying.. find a new job.

I just press random numbers, do it enough times and the machine assumes your too stupid to follow directions and connects you with somebody.

Google is the King of customer no-service. I honestly think about it like once a day... How on Earth such a huge company can be so successful, with almost zero customer service available.

Me too!! I'm a number masher...

:R:

They have money trees, duh!

You know a company has grown too big when they have zero customer service, they have people standing in line begging to spend ridiculous amounts of $$$ with them AND they reject half of them.

This attorney I know has a news paper clipping on his monitor to some website that lists all of the shortcuts to get a live person on the line for a ton of companies. I'm sure a quick google (pun intended) search could pull that up for you.

Fuck I was actually getting my hopes up...

So, does anyone have an extension?

I emailed them and got generic shit back. They will most likely email you a survey soon, just bitch about not getting a person and that email support is the most useless fucking thing in the world.

As an affiliate marketer you do not, I repeat, DO NOT, want to be assigned an account rep.

Main phone number - (650) 253-0000, press “5″ for Customer Service or Tech Support, where you will probably be directed to the Google website where you can submit an email.

Google Adwords Advertising - (866) 246-6453, press “2″ for Adwords questions. You will be placed on hold and then directed to the Google website to fill out a form.

Google Adwords Support Form - https://adwords.google.com/support/bin/request.py?hl=en_US&ctx=foot
Google Trademark Infringement Form - https://adwords.google.com/support/bin/request.py?hl=en_US&ctx=foot
Trademark Complaints Email Address - ads-trademarks@google.com
