After reviewing all 10 mins of that video, I'm on the same side as the cops.
Here is an idiot arguing with the cops, telling them to send the dog after him, and never once did he say "I don't have a gun", he kept insisting that he did have one and that he was going to shoot the dog and them.
Also, there were not 81 shots fired. Do you know what 81 shots look like? Not that. 81 shots is what a street in Kabul or Baghdad look like, not LA. If there were 81 bullet holes in the wall and house, what about the shots that took the guy's life? I think if there really were that many, it was from different times.
Overall, he was holding something to make the cops think it was a gun. He threatened them many many times, insisting that he was going to die then and there and kill them too, so fuck him. He got exactly what he deserved for lying to them about it. Did they want to kill him? Doubt it. But if someone is dumb enough to argue with cops, who were holding those SWAT looking armor shields, and who had their guns pointed at him, why did he threaten them, instead of just saying "I do not have a gun, I am holding a flip flop. Here are my hands" and slowly raises his hands to show he has nothing. Was it his 3rd offense, and maybe he knew this trip to jail was going to be a 25 year one? Maybe, but we don't know all the facts.
Bottom line, he's a dead fuck because he convinced all of us that he had a gun and was going to use it. He had his chance, blew it, and now he's dead. End of story.
