I'm just trying to switch from Tracking 202 to Prosper but I can't get the install to work.

I started a thread in their forum, but no answers so far.
Can't get past the uploading phase on Liquidweb

Figured maybe one of you guys had the same problem. Would appreciate the help.

Here's what I've done:

Unzipped, changed the config file with the mysql info, then uploaded the content of the folder prosper202_1.3.2 (did not upload the Mac version since I use windows, I assume that's correct) straight onto the root of the domain.

I then went straight to the domain which only showed this:

Index of /

* cgi-bin/
* images/
* postinfo.html

Apache/2.2.11 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.11 OpenSSL/0.9.7a mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 PHP/5.2.6 Server at domain.org Port 80

The same happened when I went straight to the /202-config/install.php

What am I doing wrong? I made a completely new account for the domain to make sure it's absolutely clean so there's nothing else on there. Anyone know how to install it correctly on Liquidweb?

Thanks!

or your domain is pointing to a different server other then yours and your uploading the files to your server.

also...why not call them, they have 24/7 support and its actually pretty good.

ok thats enough for now.

Out of curiosity, why are you making the switch? I'm about to signup for Tracking 202. I guess some people feel more comfortable with it being hosted on their server.

That's exactly it, I'd much rather have it self hosted.

I know how to use an FTP and I just rechecked the name servers and they are all good. Also called Liquidweb and the guy wasn't familiar with the script but said I could submit a support ticket and then someone that knows it would answer it, so I'll try that next.

Any other ideas what might be the issue would be great, thanks!

Sweet I got it working. Not sure what was wrong though. I got a brand new domain and did it all over and it's now starting the install.

Thanks for the help!

Go to public_html in your server and create a folder called prosper202. Upload all the files in that folder. Now try accessing prosper202.(yourdomain).com. See if that works.

Edit: Nevermind, saw that you got it working.

1) Is PHP actually installed/running on your server?

2) If it's Apache, in WHM go to Main >> Service Configuration >> Apache Configuration and make sure index.php is listed on top of 'Add/Remove and adjust the order of directory index filenames'

3) Change your FTP transfer mode to automatic (I don't believe the new P202 installs require binary anymore since they are now open source).

Its a brand new domain so i guess dns hasn't propagated or hadn't as it now seems to work

Anytime you have a problem installing something on LiquidWeb, feel free to support a ticket. I know from past experience that they will install virtually anything on your server (I'm assuming you have a dedi) if you ask and provide them with links / instructions.

I'm a total moron when it comes to using Putty / SSH, so anytime I've had to mess with a server file that I couldn't access through simple FTP, "Hey LiquidWeb, can you install this for me?" 4 hours or less. Often less than an hour. LW rocks!

Sweet I knew they had great support but I didn't know about this. Thanks will be helpful next time!
