Why would you do it over a year? Wouldn't it be better and easier to do it over a month?
 
Yea, it would depend on the prizes whether it would be worth it to compete =)
 
Awesome idea :) I think the top 3 or so should write up how they did it (i.e. general overview of their methods). That'd be great help to all.

do the max of 500 requests per day allowed by myspace before they shut you down

or join a whoretrain, where you pay & they do it all for you.

I think he's more worried about sharing his adding secrets, atleast thats why there is no way I'd participate. I have about 75k friends and I have personally sent maybe 500 friend requests...EVER. It would take a lot for it to be worth it.
