Revamped my rig this week. To make a long story short, I can now do some overclocking.

The problem being, the MSI mainboard monitoring software basically sucks a lot of dick IMHO.

Anyone using third party software that they'd recommend for monitoring temps, fan speeds, any maybe adjusting some mobo settings?

SpeedFan: from the page

"SpeedFan is a program that monitors voltages, fan speeds and temperatures in computers with (some) hardware monitor chips."

"SpeedFan can even change the FSB on some hardware (but this should be considered a bonus feature.)."

Works for me. I don't use it to overclock, though, just to monitor.

Try Everest, it is the shit

+1 for Everest, always use it on my PCs.

It might not be the software that sucks, could be shitty sensors built-in to the motherboard, in which case I'm pretty sure you can buy fan/temp monitoring kits that'll fit into a 5.25" bay, a lot more reliable.
