You needed a survey to tell you that? Try working in a career that is 90% women. Oh the stories I can tell...

I only looked at one "survey" as that site looks incrediably dull to me but With the gift being "thought" or "value" and 98% saying the thought...I was pleasantly surprised. I couldn't agree more. Monetary presents annoy me but sometimes when he brings me trashy gossip mags because he knows I secretly love them but am too embarrassed to admit, or makes sure there's plenty of toilet paper stocked up so I'm not sitting stranded on the potty...well that tells me he cares more than any trinket would.
