There Is Something Very Wrong With The Man In The White House

Federal health care is bullshit. Health care is already tightly regulated by states. If you want universal healthcare, get the states to pass it

This.

The constitution says nothing at all about health care in any way, shape, or form. Something this expensive, and something that gives the government so much more power over our lives, health, and finances shouldn't be decided by the retards in the congress, senate, and presidency.

If anything, they should allow us to VOTE just like in an election, or to handle it strictly at a state level. The federal government has no business running health care OR insurance as a whole.

Suck it, Trebek.

Even if true, it's still a Federal power grab. Plus, the "cost cutting" measures in the bill reduce coverage to those already dependent on medicare. I want to eliminate medicare eventually but this is not the way to do it. On top of that, there's no proof that this will save any money - every government program we've ever seen to "save" money ends up costing us more. Allow competition across state lines, encourage the use of health savings accounts, and you will see costs go down.

Singapore's system is far more capitalistic, despite being mandatory. As a result, it's cheaper. They don't have to tax, the amount deducted from your paycheck goes into a PRIVATE savings account just for you. No worries about some douchebag committing medicare/insurance fraud on your dime. Private insurance is also allowed as a backup to that.

Ron Paul said:
1. Reduce overall federal spending

2. Prioritize cuts in oversize expenditures, especially the military

3. Prioritize cuts in corporate welfare

4. Use 50 percent of the savings from cuts in overseas spending to shore up entitlement programs for those who are dependent on them and the other 50 percent to pay down the debt

5. Provide for reduction in federal bureaucracy and lay out a plan to return responsibility for education to the states

6. Begin transitioning entitlement programs from a system where all Americans are forced to participate into one where taxpayers can opt out of the programs and make their own provisions for retirement and medical care

Probably true and can be applied to the President for the last 200+ years. Obama is carrying on the legacy of Bush, and Clinton before him, and Bush the Elder, and Reagan, and Carter, and...

The House of Representatives is based on population. The Senate is based on the states. If you have a simple majority in both houses, that means both a majority of people represented and a majority of states represented decided the vote. This is the way the constitution was designed. The filibuster and reconciliation are parliamentary rules and have are far removed from the constitution.

Where the fuck do you live?

The senate or the house of representatives havn't represented either states or the population in a very long fucking time.

When they do try to represent the will of their constituents things like the Louisiana Purchase and the CornHusker kickback happen. I have yet to see one poll yet that said that the American People or even a simple majority of them want health care reformed the way Obama and those two retards Pelosi and Reed are trying to do it.

If they are so sure that the American People want what they are offering, why not just let us all vote? I mean fuck, they would definitely still be at an advantage with all the fraud that organizations like Acorn would no doubt be behind to inflate the vote count.

They won't allow the peoples voices to be heard because they know that it would be shot down.

"Each state receives representation in the House in proportion to its population but is entitled to at least one Representative. The most populous state, California, currently has 53 representatives. The total number of voting representatives is currently fixed by law at 435."

You want to see some real sheeple? you go live in Singapore. Everything is censored and punishment for crimes against property are physical. Someone who follows ron paul would never dream of turning this country into a dictatorship like that.

healthcare system, not society.

I really kind of wish someone with a little substance would run. A statesman. Someone who half the country wouldn't be embarrassed about having as their leader. Someone who could inspire.

Is there anyone like that who bothers with getting into the political game? Or do politics just naturally attract psychotics?

Ron..Paul?

Ron..Paul?

Ron has too many libs that absolutely hate him. And the accusations of racism would be hard for him to fight. To wit:

Daily Kos: State of the Nation

I know, it's the libtard site of all libtard sites. But that's what their perception of him is...

Plus, Ron Paul's getting long in the tooth.

I like Mitt Romney, but the dude has the magic underwear wearing thing going on and that'll kill him.

Ron..Paul?

PJ, he'd never get elected. He has good fiscal policies, but his foreign policy ideas are insanity, at least in my opinion. Nobody wants to hear their leader say that terrorism is all their fault. You might disagree, but that's just the way it is. He turns people off when he starts talking about foreign policy.

Honestly, does it really matter who the president is? I don't think it does. The government's always going to be fucked up.

Walt Minnick, Dem, Idaho (really a repub but he had to run as Dem to unseat the legendary dumbfuck encumbant Bill Sali).

Also, did anybody see Ron Paul's reaction after Baron Sascha Cohen tried to seduce him in Bruno? Classic.
