WF'ers, help me and give me your opinions! I'll pay someone $25

So here's the deal, I fucking suck at sales pitches. In fact, I suck at most everything but I suck really bad when it comes to sales related shit.

You know these signs:

ItmqH.jpg

I need a good one liner to put on there to sell people on local SEO, preferably with the word "Google" in it because I want the word Google to be on the sign with full google colors so these fucking signs really stand out.

It should be a sales pitch about local businesses getting their site/company ranked 1st place or 1st page on Google via SEO. Short, sweet, and to the point.

Whoever comes up with the best slogan based on WF opinions and my opinion wins $25. Yea I know, $25 ain't shit but it's better than nothing.

Also, how much should I charge? A local web design firm contracts me out right now and they usually charge the client $400 a month for four months and give the client 4 keywords to rank. I was thinking of charging $200 per keyword for most local shit. Should I charge more? Less? Let's be honest, ranking shit for local terms is fucking cake and shouldn't take more than a couple hours of work. I'm not a greedy person by nature which is one of my biggest problems. So how much should I charge per keyword?

Finally, should I send these fuckers to a URL or have them call my phone? Or both? I own naplesseo.com which has been sitting there worthless for almost 2 years.

Info you can use in your sales phrase:

City - Naples / Southwest Florida / SWFLA
Service - SEO / Organic SEO
SE that I'm targeting - Google
Audience I'm going after - construction and service related (for now)
Price - $200 and up (need opinions on this, see above)

"Why Our Competition Doesn't Want You To Find Out That YOU Can Get #1 In Google..."

"Discover How YOUR Business Can Get Floods Of Traffic From Google..."

"Nine Out Of 10 Small Businesses Agree That A Web Presence is Important...

But What Are YOU Doing About It?

Give Us A Call Now At X-XXX-XXX"

Love direct mail ads. If you're struggling with it all try picking up "The Ultimate Sales Letter" by Dan Kennedy. Just read it on the plane last week and it has to do mainly with direct response and short ads - like what you need to learn how to do.

Great stuff by one of the worlds BEST copywriters ever to live.

...If I win just go and buy two chickens: World Vision Online Donations: Two Chickens

I would imagine "readability" is really, really important for this kind of advertising. The more succinct you can make it, probably the better IMHO.

"Get your business on Google!"

"Compete on Google with the BIG BOYS!"

"FIRST PAGE ON GOOGLE: CALL NOW! ONLY PAY FOR RESULTS"

Has to be very short and sweet, and your phone/website should be in a huge font.

I agree with what FTC is saying.

A one liner will be tough if you try an educate peeps about your services. If you focus on your most important benefit like increase sales, increase revenue and or brand awareness you may have better shot. Also offer a free trail or discounted rate for new clients.

"Increase sales by taping into the World Wide Web using Google"

"Google Biz Apps = More Revenue for You"

All too busy for a 18"x24" IMO.

These are going to be near stop signs and stop lights in and around industrial parks so people aren't going to be driving by them going 70 or anything.

Also, weren't you telling me on AIM that you had a big national SEO contract?

Yea, have a few of them. What are you getting at?

EDIT: Yea, because I was wanting to outsource the local shit. Is that what you were getting at? If so, I found a couple guys who can do my local shit and they do it for really cheap. So I'll outsource most of it to them and pull some money off the top.

I don't know how hard it would be to recreate but I think a plain white sign with the actual Google Search would be cool with it filled in with something like this.

Then underneath you could have:

Your Potential Customers May
Be "Feeling Lucky", but you
Shouldn't.

Get Listed. Get Found.

Free Consultation. Call xxx-xxx-xxxx

Shit, that is probably too long. But, something along those lines.

That's good but these signs aren't exactly big. That isn't going to fit on one of these little fuckers.

I'll take my shot at this. Remember mate: sell the benefits, not the features. Advertising that your services can get a customer's website to be #1 on Google is nice, but the customer really wants to hear what the hell that can do for him.

Want to have a website that brings in floods of customers?

Also - Notice how all of the example signs you posted are composed of dark bold colors? You might want to consider using Google's font.

Good luck man.

You have no room for most of these suggestions, would which be cool if you did.

Suggest three simple words:

GET IT
GOOGLED
(xxx)- xxx-xxx

or

GET
GOOGLED
etc

GET ON
GOOGLE

etc
Makes the point. Can be made super big to fit the entire sign.

A couple of simple quickies.

First thoughts..........

For construction:

Build your business with Google.

Act now to find out how. (OBEY ME DAMN IT!!)

For service:

Serve more customers with Google.

Act now to find out how. (OBEY ME DAMN IT!!)

Edit: The "Obey Me Damn It" is optional for the sign. Maybe split test them!!

lol
