When previewing in IE, I misclicked and hit my own ad. Should I let Adsense know that I did this and ask them to deduct the amount to ensure I don't get banned or should I just let it slide... one time is no big deal?

Eeks.

you're fuckin' screwed!

No big deal.

Email them.

They'll respond thanking you for your honesty and they'll tell you about the preview tool... BLAH BLAH BLAH

If they can tell that you clicked your own ad in the first place, I don't know why they can't just scrub those clicks and not worry about it so much, rather than everyone getting their panties all twisted.

you'll live.

btw we need to flame the fuck out of the next person to start a thread asking this question, and then sticky it so newcomers can grow a pair before crying about the fact they accidentally caused someone to lose three cents.

your mouse will turn to liquid, your fingers will go black and then your arm will fall off

Google hates you now, they have issued a hit on you, last person to click there own ads, will never click again

Well that ad unit had 1 click for $1.26 and then today, my click appeared... 2 clicks on the ad unit and... still $1.26 so I'm guessing they knew my IP and auto-corrected for it.

By the way, I broke my single highest click record today with $2.01 on a technology related site!

Throw in the towel right away. They have hitmen they send out for those adclickers... Jon was targeted for awhile but he has trained an assassin hitsquad of ninja monkeys who we're able to keep them at bay (I think you can find the video on gootube). :D

Nice job.

No need to email them when this happens... maybe if you accidentally clicked your ad ten times in a row.
