Federal Reserve owns a mall in Oklahoma City

Why The Fed Owns A Mall In Oklahoma City : NPR

It includes a Chick-Fil-A and an AMC Theatre. Absolutely unreal.

LoL, if I were a conspiracy theorist, I'd say it would be a staging ground to test subliminal propaganda in AMC, and the effects of various food-borne pathogens. (or to see how well their propaganda works on sending people to chik-fil-a *shrug*)

It doesn't surprise me though, when it came to the AIG bailout, a lot of people failed to notice that the government didn't go empty handed, they got a controlling asset of the company via the loan. Ergo they technically own the banks. So I guess when someone looks at the results of the 'bailout' as being akin to socialism, they're not far off.

It also owned a loan to Crossroads Mall in Oklahoma City. Then, when the owners of the mall couldn't make the payments, the Fed foreclosed. So now it owns the mall, which includes a Chick-fil-A and an AMC theater.
Unreal? What do you think happens when the Fed bails companies out by acquiring toxic loan assets?

I have no clue what they basically "paid" for the mall, but the mall has cash flow from its tenants, and they're obviously trying to sell the property to recoup their investment in the loan (and hell, maybe even make a profit on it). They're not trying to hang on to the mall and get in to the business of taking over our country's malls...

The Fed now owns loans to Hilton hotels in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Malaysia and Trinidad. It owns loans to the Miami airport, and the Civic Opera House in Chicago.

LOL it looks like Alex Jones now has a new DVD idea....

Had it not been for the Chik-Fil-A... I would have just gotten upset. But because of that, it's all okay now.

Guess I won't be going to that raggedy ass mall anymore. I've been to it countless times, its been going downhill for a long time. Rumor was that it was going to be closed, not foreclosed and taken over by the feds :disgust:
