Ten Free Copies of WP Link Engine

The ability to identify "friendlY" links from known domains. IE - you describe the friendly domain list and it segregates the reporting.

In short - you could track links coming from your own link farms vs. the world pretty easily. Dumb idea, but useful for mining data. In short you could define your "friendly" domains.

I don't get why anyone would want this, and has so much traffic from link farms that AWStats doesn't already provide it.

how about intergration with Google Analytics system to track clicks on your cloaked links, also automaticly cloack all of outgoing link and you also can edit it in wplinkengine plugin setting, also maybe you can add general setting to contol all of this automatic link.

Ability to have a little javascript pop on hover. This could be used to cycle advertisements specified in the back end. This of course would be some sort of optional check box or something for this feature to be activated. This feature might work well for people running fnews sites.

Also the ability to specify the target type. I did not see this, and I don't know if you added it to the new version already. So you could say I want these links to go _Self or a new window etc..

"- geotarget links."

dunno what you've already got setup in terms of geotargetting, but you could implement sending foreign traffic to generic offer(s) that accept their country. so if you have an offer that accepts us & canada, and there's no similar offers available in australia, someone from australia clicks on it and redirs to a generic australia offer you setup within the app instead of 'offer not available'. we all know how great networks are at handling these things .... (not at all)

whole point is to make use of foreign traffic without actually doing it per link/offer/etc, which is too tedious. keep it easy and generic and still get the most out of your clicks.. could be explained a lot more clearly but I've a major lack of sleep atm (and this is possibly already implemented)

Will do on the Google Analytics stuff.

Javascript popup = will do. Target type = been in there since version 1.1.

Been a feature since I added geotargeting.

Thanks for all the great feedback so far guys. You all rock.

1. Referrer faking

If multiple fake links are added, use random fake referrer based on settings (weight).
To "naturally" control traffic.

2. Referrer blanking

3. Referrer faking + blanking

Mixing point 1 + 2 together (make it even more "natural" looking), based on settings (weights).

4. Redirection based on:

-. Referrer
-. Hostname
-. Country
-. Useragent
-. Single IP addresses
-. IP Ranges
-. Referrer + Hostname
-. Referrer + Hostname + Country
-. Referrer + Hostname + Country + Useragent
-. Referrer + Hostname + Country + Useragent + Single IP addresses
-. Referrer + Hostname + Country + Useragent + IP Ranges
-. ETC.

Keyword based redirect?
If someone comes from Google/Bing/Yahoo and use the keyword "dogs" he will automatically get redirected to (one of) a selected link(s).

Did you honestly not even look at the website/first post? It does all those things except referrer faking, which isn't possible. It certainly does blanking better than any script on the market (most of which blank, but leave huge browser shares as leaks).

Impossible?
The wordpress cloaker does referrer faking.

And yes i have checked your post and website.
The plugin has not ALL the features i suggested....

Or did i missed something?

Anyway, would love to get a review copy. ;)
At least i mentioned a few nice features that would be a great addition for this plugin.

Been a feature since I added geotargeting.

Regarding the geotargeting, when I tried this it worked for links in posts, but I could not get it to work for links in sidebar or footer, ie site-wide links etc (or on pages? cant remember now). I'd like to show different banners in the sidebar for different countries, for example.

Was I too fucktarded to work this out or was that a limitation?

OK, this is for a review copy:

Can you add a feature to serve up a different page according to the IP origin? This would really help those of us who sell services that are regulated by state agencies...(that's all the hint I can give, but it would really make this an even more attractive product.)

Already a feature in the current version.

My feature list for the next version is now complete, so we can bail on this thread now.

I'm not going to ask a moderator to close it in case anyone wants to discuss the ideas that have been posted so far (I'll keep an eye on it), but no more free copies.

Thanks a lot to everyone who gave me these great suggestions, I'll get your copies out tomorrow or the next day.

Joe.

Not sure if this is beyond the scope of this tool but how about the ability to manage links on multiple sites from one place?

This would make it more useful for SEO purposes, so from the master install you could tell the others to link to site x based on criteria y and z. (Along the lines of Victory's Command Center)

As I said, don't know if this is a direction you want to go in, but SEO link management is what the name of the plugin makes me think of.
This ^^. That's how I am currently using Link Engine right now. Linking from my sites to a central blog which does all the redirecting, that way I can manage all of the redirects from one panel for dozens of blogs. Anything which increases the utility of this process would be a ++ :)
