Its leaking 200,000 gallons of oil per day,
Not sure about that figure. Regardless, if this was true the facts are there are over 6500 drilling platforms in the Gulf. And the US is in an oil crisis? How much do we pay for oil?
This is ONE platform.

Have you been to the gulf before to see the oil rigs? I had no idea how many there were, and the first time when we went to Daulphin Island (Outside Mobile, AL) I was amazed how many rigs I could count. I think at least 30 were visible during the day. Go to Grand Isle, LA and see how many you can count from the west side of the beach. Last time I was there I counted 55 at dusk. The sheer number of oil rigs in the gulf is amazing.
Because of the number of oil rigs present, I wouldn't think that the price of oil should be effected due to the volume of oil lost, but it will. The more important issue is that once the oil gets into the wetlands, it will wreak havoc on the grass and trees, weakening the last line of defense for hurricanes on Louisiana. While New Orleans is a dump, hopefully it'll be around for at least another year.
There are also tons of reports of the locals never getting the money promised by the company due to the loss of their fishing industry.
Eco terrorists cutting off their nose to spite their face? Sounds like a stretch to me, but you can't put anything past extremists.

and be 100% dependent on those who don't like us for our oil
From my understanding this oil rig is new and was not actually producing much oil yet. So, how and why should this raise oil prices? It's also just one little rig, there's a lot out there...prices shouldn't jump much or any.
