This thread actually intertwines two separate issues, political correctness run amok, and illegal immigration. I never touch on the illegal immigration here because most people don't separate the narcos, traffickers, and aztecas from the people that are trying to escape death as an innocent bystander in the streets of Juarez or some other lawless town in Mexico. Since all cross the border illegally they all get lumped together which is disingenuous at best. Anybody that needs to put some perspective and context on the designation of "illegals" should at least read the story "The Crucifixion of Juarez" to get try and get some perspective of why our borders aren't respected, drug traffickers don't care about any law much less the sovereignty of a nation's borders, but those just trying to find some peace and prosperity are literally running for their lives. So don't lump me in with those that have an un-nuanced hatred of "illegals".

But I digress, like this thread I intertwined two subjects, the illegal situation and your precious narcissism and the need to take umbrage from somebody, somewhere, on some forum that you don't know simply because they don't take care about you. So let me get back on track.

That's a pretty good argument. As a matter of fact, the best I ever heard on this matter.

But it misses "the other half".

The reason why a lot of immigrants refuse to assimilate into the culture of the country where they reside has to do with how they are treated by the "natives".

It's a viscous cycle. The more any group of immigrants gets subjected to stereotypes the closer they stick together and the less open they become to the idea of assimilating. Over time, they develop contempt for the country they live in because of the constant feeling of others thinking of them as second-class people. The "natives" feel that contempt and their prejudice is reinforced. That powers the cycle and so it goes.

I know you are not very bright, so let me try to break it up into little chunks:

Do they get fed up with all prejudice bullshit enough to leave? No.

Is leaving a better alternative than continuing to live in a place where they are treated as second-class? No.

Do they get fed up enough to start feeling resentment because they know they can't really leave and they know that the prejudice won't end any time soon? Yes.

Are they justified in their resentment? No.

Are the "natives" justified in regarding all immigrants as one monolithic entity of border-jumping-welfare-abusing-drug-smuggling leeches? No.


In short, it's like asking someone who works for a shitty boss while nobody else is hiring "why don't you just quit." Only a moron would ask that question, or even present a premise based on the assumption that other alternatives are viable. And yet, that employee would probably resent the shitty boss, while continuing to work for him/her.

Yes, immigrants have a choice. They can always leave. But leaving is a much worse choice than continuing to endure prejudice.

Is your position towards those groups of immigrants something like this: "you came here, so endure all our bullshit, swallow it and say thank you, or get the fuck out, and don't you dare to be pissed about it"?

And why exactly is it that life in Mexico is worse than America? Although it may seem obvious, it is a fundamental question worth realizing to the fullest extent. What makes America a more desirable destination than that of Mexico? Is it not our American heritage and culture that has been passed down to us by our Founding Fathers and then nurtured through principles of integrity, ethics and intelligence? These guys led the way and it is up to us to uphold these values and IMPROVE on them where possible, not WORSEN them.

How then can these other cultures who knowingly break our laws, refuse to adopt our culture (which one may conclude to be better than theirs as they are coming to OUR culture and away from THEIR culture) and then side with the social engineers who are waiting to acquire their complete obedience for a silent takeover of America be of even moderate value to America? Is this not the very definition of a traitor? The most dangerous war is a silent war. No weapons are being used, just pure manipulation and social engineering by people who know how to exploit uneducated, gullible sheep by means of race, environment, terrorism, religion, money and anything else that the sheeple will buy. I am by no means attacking a group or race of people, that's for the people in high places to do. Just as you can sell a product to some fool on the Internet, well they can sell the takeover of a nation to you.

Hitler also seemed to be very good with manipulating people into his way of thinking. But there's really nothing to worry about. After all, the economy is recovering and we are becoming more free and reaching close to a modern Utopia. Things cost more, people work harder, families are being destroyed, education is declining, graft is increasing, debt continues to rise, nations are going bankrupt, but we are at the apex of human civilization. We should all hold hands and collapse back into the fold of keeping our heads down and listening to our masters. Wake up and try something totally off the wall and outrageous and do something that will one day be illegal if we keep up this pace - read a book.
