Fire up the bizops here comes the make monies crowd

LOL @ $100k in seed money to start a business by her rich daddy.

I have to 100% agree with Eli here that she is a total fail if this is her 3rd business and she has more starting capital to work with than most of us ever did. Articles like this make me want to choke puppies. So disgusting.

"My age, my gender and my lack of experience don't deter me from going after what I want for the company," says Ms. Keng, who runs marketing for MyWeboo.com from home and co-founded the venture with her 25-year-old brother, Steven.

Being female is not a disadvantage, unless you talk yourself into believing it is one.

Seventy-five percent of the people I deal with in this business are men. They are oftentimes surprised at the fact that I'm female, and I suspect this makes them a bit more polite, but nothing else. I can and do produce as well as a man, and I don't feel discriminated against for my gender.

Believing you're disadvantaged while rich, connected and featured on Yahoo: major fail.

Bunch of fucking haters in here jeez
I'm not hating on her. She just comes off as so clueless about what was handed to her, and calls herself "disadvantaged."

If a guy from Mexico standing in front of the Home Depot waiting for day jobs built up an online business and cashed in - that would impress me a lot. Or take people like Nickycakes and Unarmed Gunman, both convicted felons. They started with nothing and now make a good living in the business, which impresses me just as much.

Rich girl, not so impressive. Maybe we're all a bit jealous.

Knowing you and your father earned credible publication that benefits further investments in real-life: major win

no one here sees the big print ?

no one ever had press releases published beyond no-cost 'PR' wires ?

this stuff travels way deeper than an article on Yahoo F. and no i don't mean search engine syndication .

Because 1. he knows with his track record that he will get the money, and 2. not really necessary to take a 12 mil risk when you dont have to

Read Felix Dennis:

"Ownership is not an important thing, it is the ONLY thing!"

If you are a true entrepreneur you understand this.

Her web 2.0 site is worthless, i'd love to know her 'process' to figure out how to do things.

It's funny, I had a whole $1000 wrapped up in my stuff before I struck it big, but then I guess that's the difference between those of us who HAVE to succeed and those of us that want to play games with success.

If her dad REALLY wanted to see her do well , he would of said something like 'honey , if you can't develop a successful enterprise in 6 months, you're out on the street'. This of course is the problem with kids getting money from parents, they have very little clue how to obtain it for themselves.

As a heart-warming tale , I plan on providing my kids a stipend while they grow up, and will be required to buy their own food & clothes......They WILL learn how to be successful at the hands of personal sacrifice.

100k seed money? Must be nice... I got started with about 20 bucks. lol And I'm sure most can relate.

Quote: ..turns off her cellphone and email while at school or doing homework. "If it's a business call, that's what voicemail is for. I will call you back," she says."

Um..yeah, that attitude sounds like someone just "playing" the game, not living it. I'm all for education, but if I treated my business that way, it would have died long ago. That 100k "VC" investment from Dad is probably hurting her as much or more as its helping, she's not hungry enough.
