americans lol

Referring to Asia as the "far East" is a European term that predates standard times and stems mostly from ancient trade routes. You know, before there was known to be anything much more "west" than England. This is why there's the "far East"...China, Japan, etc. and the "middle East" (all those sandy places where dem terrorizers live).

I thought this was common knowledge taught in middle school.

I don't know where you are from Dare Devil, but with most of the people I know Knowledge is anything but "common".

No its a lot more racist than that.

West or Western basically means mostly white, mostly English speaking.

If someone said "Western Countries" most people would assume US, UK, Canada, AU and NZ.

The origins of the whole "west" and "east" terminology predates the discovery of North and South America by "western" countries by several hundred years. Yes, these days the US is included in the "west" but it has nothing to do with "racism" even now...it has more to do with culture.

It's pretty amazing how hard people look for things to call "racist." Kudos to you for making that ENORMOUS leap. It must have taken a lot of imagination.

Highly doubt, most will assume Germany, France, UK, Italy, Spain, Norway, Holland, Sweden, Iceland, Austria, Switzerland and some more maybe. Some may mention US as addition to this, like "western countries and US" but nobody except US fanatics will mean order like yours, lol. Especially will not mean Canada and Australia/New Zealand, are you serious ? Mostly white - probably, mostly English speaking - highly doubt as I said.
