Can't Wait For Football To Start

You can't start a thread about the NFL on WF w/o all the euro's making retarded comments. Usually 1 of 3 things:
1) I don't understand why it's called football. Followed up by a dumb ass hand / egg photo.
2) American football players are pussies because they wear helmets / pads
3) American football players are out of shape because some linemen are fat and they "take breaks every 30 seconds".
Gets really old. You don't like the NFL? Stay the fuck out of my thread.
Who gives a fuck, chill out, it's a sport/ excuse to drink beer who cares what they do with the ball or what country your from. When does the NFL start again? The first full game I ever watched was last years super bowl and that got me quite into it so would be good to watch a couple of games on sky.
June is all about the world cup though, hope you don't expect to beat us English as your in our group

I love football and can't wait for the season to get started. Thankfully it's not on every goddamn day like basketball, and my productivity doesn't go to shit.

Just gets annoying. Every time there is any thread about American football, some clown feels the need to sound off about soccer / rugby. The regular season of the NFL starts at the beginning of September. Thing is, there is a LOT of strategy to the game. The more you understand about it, the more interesting it is. No disrespect to Rugby, but if Ray Lewis hits you and you're not wearing pads and a helmet, you'll probably never walk again. Big difference.
Why are people arguing about the physical hits in the game?! None of you are professional athletes so why does it matter, if you want physical power over tactics watch ultimate fighting..
Love most sports. Rugby hits are not even close to football hits, Rugby players don't get going at those speeds or turn themselves into human torpedos. They don't hit like that for good reason, you can't deliver a devastating blow like that without pads, you'll kill yourself and the person being tackled. Trust this, the level of explosive athletic ability of an NFL player is much higher than that of Rugby. Rugby players would most likely attempt to get into the NFL if they could, you can't beat the money. Just like basketball, the best foreign players all come to the NBA.
Because, every time we try and talk about football some douche needs to come in and call it a pussy sport because of pads. It's stupid. Apples and oranges.
