We don't agree with them because they launch rockets at innocent civilians, send suicide bombers to shops, restaurants and malls, deny the right for israel to exist, have a goal to kill any and all jews.

And once again you fail to realize that the leaders in Gaza ruined the lives of 1.5 million people by stealing from them and hijacking their territory and using them as human shields and for propaganda and stealing the aid that is meant for the civilians.

Orthodox/Hassidic jews already do breed like rabbits. Why do you think the Israeli economy is the way it is? The Hassidic people have like 5-10 kids each, but they are all poor and they study talmud all day and don't get real jobs and just use all the resources while the modern Israelis have a few kids (or no kids). That's why the socialist system they have won't continue to work. It's not possible for the minority to support the majority, which is what will happen soon...

If it rains now, Sderot would be flooded if they ended the blockade.

Israel would actually have a reason to keep the blockade even if they got that anti-missile defense thing. What do you think is going to happen if they open the blockade? Do you think they will just stop their attempts at destroying Israel? That's not going to happen. It will be the same thing but with more weapons being able to reach Gaza. The goal for them will still be the same. Kill all jews and form an islamic sharia state.

this above can be right (i am not in Gaza to tell you exactly), but i still ask myself, "ruined the people lives"...how some people can still spell this...if you tell me Isreal is doing this, i would agree with you 100%. Reading all this over the forum, forced me to go back into the history a little and try to find out who hijacked the territory of whom in 1967. Israel has been given a teritory (land) to live in...today looking in that ME area around Israel, they have been attacking any country around them to hijack more territory/land. I dont want to make this to long, but if i must give an example...Lebanon has been attacked by Israel, and at that times if Syria was not there to save their ass, today Lebanon would be in the same situation as Gaza (or maybe already an Isreal Teritory) WTF?. I even dont see a reason to state how Hamas was born in the begining of the 80's. Hamas has been also supported by Israel with anything they need to fight against the Palestinian Liberation Organization for years !! And since Israel is now done with the Palestinian Liberation Organization, the next on the list to get their ass kicked was Hamas (that until few years ago was heavily suported by Isreal)...who is next on the list?

The questions you should be asking yourself is "Does the blockade make them stronger or weaker? Does it make them gain support or lose support among the local population?"

Well the blockade's primary purpose wasn't to stop weapons it was to topple Hamas - it didn't work. With an anti-missle defense system I see less conflict .

Your claim that Israel will be thrown to the dogs and wiped off the map if the blockade is lifted is statistically ridiculous... Look at the invasion of 2009 - casualties were 1 Israeli for 100 Palestinians.

Israel is not trying to expand its territory, ok? It was attacked, it fought back, won and took the land that was absolutely necessary for its survival. It needed to create buffers, otherwise it would have just been attacked again later.

Just some years ago most countries didn't exists. Borders have shifted after many wars - look at how Europe's borders have shifted in the last 100 years.
Kosovo was most certainly never a country - and look, apparently the Kosovars needed one, and voila, make Serbs look like the bad guys and here you go. Just to name one example.

you seem to think anti-missile defense works like magic or something. but it can only be another layer of protection. its an imperfect technology, easily overwhelmed with numbers.

won't be wiped off the map. But if it allows the Iranians to deliver longer range missiles that can reach Tel Aviv or Jerusalem and certainly worth it, because that would create a strategic threat. The Iranians delivered them to Hezbollah, who fired at Tel Aviv, so the Israelis had no choice but to go into Lebanon. The IDF is actually quite small. Simply opening two such fronts - one by Hezbollah and one by Hamas, would stretch them thin.

Besides. Its the government's job to protect their citizens. Each and every one of them. With continued attacks the people demand action. Why should they suffer civilian casualties?


Also the Egyptians have just as much interest in keeping Hamas under the thumb, seeing as how afraid they are of the Muslim Brotherhood. And if the Muslim Brotherhood took over Egypt - now THAT would create a strategic threat for Israel.

Your example is much different than the Isreal example. Kosovo and Serbia was 2 states in Yugoslavia....and after each of these states announced their independecy, the Serbs just thought is the right time maybe to expand "their country" while everything is yet "so fresh". I know, the topic here is not religion, but Who was again on the trigger?...muslims...right? Serbian snipers hunted muslims on the streets like dogs for months. Not sure if you know, but Serbs got their ass sued and payed for what they did there.
