Anyone know when it's going to get here..cause I'm fucking sick of 2.0 already. Even if we could update to 2.5, that would be better than nothing.

What's the hurry? I was reading about CSS recently and how it is going to revolutionize the fucking internet. But I think there is a lot more we can get out of 2.0 before we move on.

2.0, 2.5, 3.0 what does it even matter they're just concepts than actual technology. ie: 2.0 is just buzz for user-generated traffic and content, and what designers say when they want something to mimic the look of modern social network platforms.

Been around for a while actually. (iGoogle of all things), not to mention the whole myspace-ish concept of skinning your own page to your heart's content, and twitter being able to upload your own background, color scheme avatar etc.

i definitely dont mean user instigated / specified personalization. I mean open graph.

Joking aside, I really do think we're on the cusp of a new era, comparable to the web2.0 times - there are many ways to get in on it, just a matter of thinking then doing.

Only good thing that came out of Web 2.0 is streaming porn and advertisement platforms on social network sites.

And facebook -- but only if you're looking for fresh, untapped poontang.

Web 3.0 wish list: personalized spinning dicks.

I totally agree.

Why wait until someone develops something called web 3.0 or even web 100.0? I think if we can think creatively, we ourselves can invent a new concept and make the rest of the world go gaga over it.

Al Gore just freed up his schedule to work on it. Web 3.0 in 3D IMAX.

2.0 or 3.0, it is all just a series of tubes though. Tubes delivering $ hopefully, like those old drive through tellers with vacum tubes (about a decade before Web 0.9 beta, for you young'uns).

lol web 3.0 lol

Apparently web 3.0 is in beta at the moment but they iz not ready to unleash it on teh internetz.

web 2.0 = you have to go and find your data

web 3.0 = your data finds you
