Tennessee Man Buys Police Department Website After Speeding Ticket - ABC News

After receiving a $90 speeding ticket earlier this year for cruising through what he called a speed trap, McCrary went to the Bluff City Police Department's website to reschedule his hearing.

When he saw that the site's content had been replaced with a notice saying that the domain name was on the verge of expiring, he saw an opportunity. He waited a few weeks until the name had officially lapsed, and then he pounced.

He went from 1000 uv's up to 90K UV's. Mother fucker needs to monetize that bitch.

DUI Lawyer and/or Credit Repair would do well with that traffic. Or just get rid of those Google News clips and put up Adsense.

From the site:

"While this site is not to be used for legal advice and provides none, be aware that safety cameras tickets issued in TN are civil in nature. Failure to pay them will not result in anything more than would occur if you did not pay any other bill sent. These tickets can not be used to report the violation to insurance companies, add points to your driving record, or affect your driver license even if they are unpaid."

BRB checking local speed camera ticket laws...

Rofl yeah the guy would have had to been out sick at least 3 months to not realize it was down during the redemption period. Obviously if no one bothers to look at their webpage for 3 months they didn't need it too much.

"I feel like he's doing it out of revenge because he got a ticket," he (the police chief) said.

That's some mad investigative and reasoning skillz going on there.
