Because I don't like running proxies much I'd rather focus on quality content sites.

Proxies are very unpredictable sometimes.

Both are free, however, phpproxy is said to be much easier on the server resources.

I buy and hold on to proxy sites. They are a pain in the ass because of 3rd world traffic, hardcore CPU usage/hosting issues, hotlinking, phishing etc. I only get high CTR when I change the layout. Since so many are repeat users they quickly adapt and quit clicking on ads.

cgiproxy is very robust. It allows your users to access sites that require a login while phproxy does not.

PHProxy may use less server resources, but it's a lot slower, and can't handle some/most logins.

I have a few proxys. I charge monthly for mine. They get so much traffic its crazy. But I have a good keyword for mines though.

I'm not one to ever make my own stats public but this one was too damn funny not to.
