Islamic Sharia Law to Be Banned in, ah, Oklahoma



The only reason I could ever see some aspect of Sharia law coming here in the near future is with Sharia finance. While I don't think the vast majority of it charges interest, the collection of the debt upon default is more severe. Some unscrupulous financiers may try to make hybrids of the two models, pick the best from both, and create these special courts to enforce the debt. This long shot is the only way I can see this coming to America.
 
While OK is at it, let them ban Chinese communist law, North Korean law, Canadian law, and Mexican law.

So... what exactly made Oklahoma ban a form of law that hasn't been attempted to be used in their state, or elsewhere in the nation? We need a specific law now to say "we follow US legal precedents, and not other countries/forms of law"? I thought that was a given, though in Oklahoma, I can't be sure... What a fucking waste of time and resources - Our law enforcement/court systems already are based on US law.

In any normal jurisdiction, only its own laws apply. Going out and ounishing people by your version of justice will just bring you to court.

Sharia law sucks because you get fucked in the ass for doing stuff with your gf, drinking etc eventhough you don't really believe in Islam. The penalty for apostasy in Islam is death so there's no way out.

Actually, Sh'aria only applies to Muslims.

Interestingly, the Jews have their own law, and it only applies to Jews. They have had for centuries. Google "Beth Din". There's a Beth Din in New York.

Do you think that should be banned as well?

Oh, and while we're at it, look up "Canon Law". Looks like those filthy Christians are making their own rules too. Send all them back to their own countries, I say.

I have to say, given the US's enthusiasm for extending its jurisdiction wherever it damn well pleases, whether the locals like it or not, I find this dismay when the foreigners decide to import their rules and customs into the homeland somewhat amusing.

If people want to live by Islamic laws they should live in an Islamic country. You have no idea how's that like so you're out of line. Same goes for the Jewish that wants to live by Jewish laws, get out of a fuckin SECULAR country.

Mind you, I'm not even talking about people that are forced to live by the laws whether they like it or not just because of their status.

90% of Muslims were Muslims because they were born as Muslims, when the penalty for apostasy is death, they pretty much have the stupid laws shoved down their throat whether they like it or not.

The Shari'a law decides that there's a perfect Muslim that everybody should be and that in itself is stupid, failure to do so = punishment and you can't argue the laws because it's backed by religion. and obviously you can't say "hey I'm no longer believe in Islam" because by sharia' law that equals DEATH by hanging.

i.e: Public canning for drinking beer. You can't be serious about this shit. I'm an atheist living as a Muslim because coming out will result in my life being taken away and the moment I consumed a pint of beer some assholes deserve to fuckin can me in the ass infront of my families?

So yeah, Go AMERICA, Go ISRAEL. FUCK ISLAM.

Palestine will perish along with Iran, and Turkey. Then we can maybe talk about North Korea.

i.e: According to the Shari'a law a women can't divorce a men, she has to prove that the husband is cheating on her, or is not be able to provide and even if that's justified, she will have to undergo councelling etc.

BUT

the husband can just say "i divorce you" and it's official.

Talking about fairness huh?

p/s/s: Also by Shari'a law the government officials have the rights to barge into your hotel rooms to verify if you and the person you're having sex with are lawfully married, if you're not you'll be sent to jail and fine etc. Even harsher punishment in Arab land where people get stoned (ridiculous).

It's really not as bad as this.

In England, parts of Cornwall (which are kind of the equivalent of the Southern States in the US, in the county is secessionist), are wanting to adopt their own version of Sh'aria, Sh'kernow.

Apparently they did some theocratic comparisons, and Islam has a lot of parallels with the ancient Celtic religions of the Cornish people.

The thing about divorce is has been misconstrued slightly by modern Islamists.
According to the traditional texts (and the Sh'kernow version adopted by the Cornish Nationalists), the Man is only allowed the right of Talak (the quick divorce) if his wife bears him a firstborn with 6 digits. After that, anything is fair game.

There was an article on BBC news on it, but I think it got pulled. The new government are very keen to hush up the combination of Cornish Nationalism and the Islamic takeover of England, because of our position in the EU.

Although you're right about being caned in the street. In the southwest UK, people are caned in the street quite frequently on a saturday evening after drinking. It's a horrible sight.
