refs just robbed the win from the US along with 5-6 other awful calls against the US....nice...

This is why I hate watching so many sports now. We have the best technology in the world to make the correct calls yet only a few sports utilize it correctly. Tradition or part of the game my ass, it puts the game into the hands of refs who need to be impartial. Replay shows exactly what happened, why not use it? Terrible calls.

USA deserved the win. The goal should've been allowed. 4 Slovenia players were holding back 4 US players, but the goal scorer wasn't interfering/being interfered with - and he was onside imo.

lol @ the Dempsey face plant at the end

EDIT: 2nd retarded ref in a row. Hope the England game has a decent referee.

^^^this...especially on a world stage...there is a very good chance the US will not advance to the next round and it may all go back to one awful call by a shitty ref

At the end of the match, no one even knows that the call was or why the goal was disallowed. What kind of shit is that? Please bring your sport into this millennium with some decent officiating.

Some shitty ass ref just fucked team US.

i agree. i think FIFA should consider allowing instant replay reviews.

Sepp Blatter has refused this over and over and over, no goal line technology, no nothing.

In EUFA they have 5 officials on the pitch.

That was unlucky. Great game, good comeback. But that disallowed goal turns what would have felt like a great achievement into a disappointment. Hard luck guys.

Sooner or later Sepp Blatter is going to have to heed calls for goal line technology and replays on big incidents. I can understand them saying they don't want to be stopping the game evert 2 minutes, but on big calls like penalties and goals, you can't afford to be wrong.

Everyone is asking for it, but Sepp is being a stubborn bastard.
