Rechargeable AA Battery solutions?

I have bunch of sexy wireless apply products and they take a lot of batteries.

3 for the keyboard, 2 for each of 2 mice.

I've had some bad experiences where the charged batteries really won't last much.

Any suggestions or experiences to share?

Buy better batteries. I have the apple bluetooth keyboard and those batteries last me 4-6 months (Energizer). My mouse batteries I replace like once a year. Don't buy the cheap store made shit, or Rayovac. Energizer or Duracell.

I don't know about modern rechargeables but rechargeable batteries used to only put out 1.2V (as opposed to 1.5V on regular batteries) so they were pretty much useless.
 
I've been using rechargeable Energizer batteries for my mice, keyboards, and cameras for years. I highly suggest you don't use the Energizer charger because that thing takes forever to charge. Duracell has a charger that will charge your batteries in a couple hours vs 8+.

Batteries are one of my hobbies.

You need NiMH 1.2 volt rechargeable batteries with a fast charger. The 15 minute charger (Commonly reffered to as 4*Capacity Charging) is awesome. What you're fighting is not that your devices are high drain, quite the opposite, but all batteries self discharge and chemistries like NiMh will often self discharge at a rate of 1-3%/day. Meaning even if you don't use it, you'd be lucky to get a month. Here's what I recommend: Have the charger always going next to your desk and when you get the low battery message, swap out the packs

I thought the fact that normal batteries are 1.5, using 1.2 instead will make those last much less... or something along those lines?

Why are recheargables always 1.2? Is it just the type of elements using in it? Or are there some 1.5 rechargeables and should I find those or it doesn't make a difference.

About what you said: From rechargeables I'll only get about a month?

And for a fast charger, any recommendation in particular?

Most of our devices have a pretty wide voltage range, so you should be fine.

Rechargeables being 1.2 is a throwback to the days of nicads when they would be significiantly higher than 1.2 hot off the charger. They had a much higher voltage range. NiMh's do to, but to a lesser extent.

I use a lot of high end custom stuff to charge my batteries, as far as consumer shit goes, that energizer option looks great.
 
I like rechargables but my tv remote won't take the 1.2v ones lame anyone know of some 1.5v AAA rechargables?
