So, I just very recently launched my first product on clickbank. I've been looking for ways to get affiliates.
First off, let me give you a summary of my product to get more focused and relevant feedback. My product is an ebook teaching people how to create effective presentations in powerpoint. It focuses on frameworks/methodologies practiced by management consultancies (e.g. mckinsey, bain, bcg, booz, etc.) in developing a cohesive presentation flow/storyline, structuring slide content, and designing slides (e.g. which charts to use for what purposes, font sizes, etc.). It is not so much focused on how to use powerpoint from a technical standpoint (e.g. keystroke walk-thrus), tho there is some content related to that (e.g. keyboard shortcuts).
I believe the target market is fairly broad... essentially anyone who needs to make corporate presentations, from MBA students to c-level execs.
On a high level, I've done the following...
- Adjusted my commission rate to be fairly competitive: 75% for a $50 product + bonus
- Created an affiliates resources page with your basic tools (including free downloads, articles/tutorials, banners)
- I've also started an affiliates challenge. I posted this on a separate forum. The challenge was to make 100+ sales in a 30-day period and I will pay them 100% commission on all sales. The immediate feedback I received was that my challenge was too difficult, being that my product seemed too niche. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this too.
Anyway, any ideas/thoughts would be greatly appreciated! And, just to clarify, I am soliciting suggestions on ways to build affiliates -- not traffic.
Thanks.
