I've made so much money on Fedor fights it's not even funny. The 10 before this were all sure bets and I put $100+ on all of them. The return is low due to the odds, but it's practically free money... I put up $800 on the Sylvia fight.

Good thing it slipped my mind for the last one though.
 
Surprising result to the fight, but anyone can get caught in a flash submission at any time. Props to Werdum for keeping his composure after being knocked on his ass like that.

While it's on my mind... Anyone remember the TK vs. Fedor II fight? The rematch after TK "beat" him? Brutal shit. Fedor + something to prove = ohgodrun. The entire fight looked like he was spanking him for all the shit-talk -- he was hitting him with open fists instead of punching him, stepping out of TK's submissions like they were inconvenient at best, etc.

Now, TK obviously isn't on Werdum's level, but when Werdum was so outclassed standing that he was knocked on his ass 15 seconds into the fight and with Fedor knowing better than to follow him down next time around, it could be a long, nasty beating for Werdum in the rematch.

I don't think SF is going to give him an immediate rematch but he could end up fighting the winner of Overeem v. Werdum.
 
I can't believe fedor didn't passout that fucking triangle was tight looking and he had it locked in for a while.
 
Apparently Fedor and his camp are pushing for a fall rematch. Faster than I expected if they allow it, I figured Overeem would at least get his shot first.

I agree he DESTROYED Kohsaka in the rematch, looked like typical cyborg Fedor, I think Fedor can take Werdum if he plays it smarter, light him up standing and let him up if he flops to his back, if he keeps away from his guard I think it should be a straight forward win for Fedor. We saw in that brief 5 seconds or so the explosion that Fedor has when he sees an opening standing up. Fedor simply outclasses him everywhere besides the floor, It was obviously a big mistake trying to pound out a ADCC champion who looked to have flopped to his back on purpose, but its hard to tell.

I hope they don't give him the immediate rematch which Coker is contemplating, sometimes that guy baffles me with his moves and he would be effectively pissing off Overeem if he green lights Werdum Fedor II.

I think Fedor should fight the winner because I think Overeem can get past Werdum and we'll get to see AO vs Fedor. They need to get Overeem fighting quick or they'll lose him for a long time because he still has a contract in Japan to fulfill and the K-1 GP later on this year.
 
He hit him with some good shots, but it was all a ploy just to get him on the ground. Did you see how fucking fast he was in that submission? Dizam.

Hope they do a rematch though.

Agreed on all counts.

Regarding the AO part though, Strikeforce knows they can dick him around a bit on his contract because White won't hire him due to his extracurricular K-1 activities. They might have no problem shafting him in favor of an immediate rematch, which would probably sell better than an AO v. Werdum main event.
 
I'm so pissed I missed this fight and kinda annoyed with the result too ..I was really looking forward to Fedor/Ubereem. I'm with Kingscotty on this one. Hopefully they get Overeem fighting quick.
 
Fedor lost, but dose not mean nothing to him because he will fuck up whoever he wants. If i was Werdum i wouldn't rematch, but hes a dumb ass because he actually thinks he would win again. Americans asked Fedor if the match was fixed, Fedor said "no". Russians asked if your match was fixed he said yes.
 
The fact is fedor can't hang with the top guys anymore. He'll probably win the rematch but he still lost to a low ranked fighter. Yes yes, "he just got caught" but that's still a loss. And Werdum got his ass handed by JDS.

On top of that Brock beat Carwin. Again I know Carwin gassed out but only the results count. This cements Brock as the #1 hw. So there's no way Fedor is #1.

Coming from a guy who lost money on Carwin and is a huge Fedor fan.

I would really love to see Fedor in the UFC. But he has announced he is considering retiring more and more. He would let down a lot of fans if he did that.

So he looses one fight out of 30 and his automatically of the top.
Lesnar gets caught by Mir, then gets his ass kicked all over the octagon by Carwin. Only has 6 fights; and his the baddest man alive. Fuck that.
