My affiliate stats are showing 24 clicks and FB is showing only 15. Interesting. Given 1 click by reviewer still a substantial difference. Bidding CPC. But I guess it's a good thing.

Why don't you just stick with CPC then? With .1+ CTR, you should be getting 10-15 cent clicks.
lol not anymore, try .25+ ctr in demos 18+.
I'm convinced there is some sort of artificial inflation going on with their ad system. No noticeably big new advertisers in the space. Anyone else have any theories on this? It can't just be natural competition, their sporadic guidelines changes would eliminate a big part of that growth. Local businesses maybe? Haven't seen them in my area(s) but I guess it's a possibility.

I'm pretty sure its local biz. There are a ton of local advertisers in major cities, I'm surprised you don't see many in your area. Here in Toronto the ad board is flooded with local biz.
My main dilemma is a Catch-22: I make ads (CPC) that get 0.4%+ CTR, but the recommended bids are still really high. And if I make new ads (knowing they should be even more optimized) I have to start over to "age" the ads so FB gets comfortable with them.

Ok, I know I'll get shit for this. But is anyone running dating successfully on CPM? I get .1+ CTR ads on CPC and when I switch it to CPM, CTR plumments below .02, no shit.
