Internets
a member here pm'ed me with this link. usually we don't' care for this kind of posting, you know, about warrior forum- but this shit is too fucking funny to not share with the world.

Steve Wags drops some huge knowledge bombs on these people. Why he's not the next Bill Gates already, I don't know.

Wanna buy the Internet? - (Check this out...)

the funniest part is watching all these retards get behind it like its going to change the world, then a few people with sense crush their dreams.

Paul, if you go to Google and type in "buy the internet" (no quotes) you
will find that there are no relevant results. The top sites are about buying
things on the internet. So I don't think ranking your site for the phrase
will be hard, providing you can find a domain that's a close enough match.

The problem I see is how Google will actually treat the relevancy.

Remember, this an oddball phrase. Who the hell types in "buy the internet"
and is actually looking to buy the internet? So I wonder if, even with a
relevant domain name and content that matches the topic (I could
certainly write some off the wall stuff) if Google would even recognize it
as an authority site.

Naturally, the viral campaign will help and then once that goes around
enough and people start doing the actual search, the site itself will then
probably be at the top of the results.

Getting that domain, which I am sure is going to run 1K to 2K to grab
a hold of, will make things a hell of a lot easier.

There is no question we could make this fly.

But then...there are the legal issues.

Selling shares in the Internet?

Even as a joke or spoof, don't you think that might raise a few eyebrows?

I can just see the FTC knocking on my door now for running the ultimate
scam.

And forget running this through PayPal. They'll shut you down in a heart
beat. In fact, no merchant account with any rep will touch it.

You would probably have to get one of those porn processing accounts
like Epoch.com to handle the transactions.

Just too much about the idea that scares the crap out of me.

This is my favorite part, "So I wonder if, even with a
relevant domain name and content that matches the topic (I could
certainly write some off the wall stuff) if Google would even recognize it as an authority site.
"

Honestly... how does his Guru shit even sell without even understanding what building authority means?

Am I missing something? I read a few posts and I'm fucking lost. Maybe its the whisky I've been drinking ...

I'm drunk right now too and it's fucking terrible. Basically, Warrior Forum is this circle jerk where idiotic ideas get posted by people who make no money whatsoever and then everyone comments on it: Groupthink - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So some retard came up with the idea to sell a fake "shares of the internet" whatever that means. Basically you pay money for nothing, and they give yo you a graphic that says you now own part of the internet. The people in that thread legitimately believe this idea is going to go viral.

The problem is no entity can own the internet. It's a distributed network. You can't sell parts of it. The whole idea is ridiculous. The part that makes it painful to read is how stupid the "followers" are in the thread. They believe, because they ended up at Warrior Forum instead of Wicked Fire, that idiotic posts are smart just because a moderator posted them.

Steve W has fifteen fucking thousand posts over there. It's absurd.

I think there is one more part of this thread that needs to be discussed.

There is ranting and raving about how powerful the warriors are as within minutes they were able to conquer this idea and "team" up to make it happen.

The main positive point that they have is that it was a "collaborative" effort, YET within 25 minutes about 4 or 5 have them have bought different domains and put the "idea" into practice against one another........and in competition.

If that's collaboration then I will be working alone for the rest of my life.

Personally, if I was retired, bored and had nothing to do, I might get some
people together and give this a shot, just for sh*ts and giggles to see if
I could make it fly.

Now now Wags, should you ever decide to call it a day over at Ezine you'd still have that glittering music career to fall back on. Best regards.

i really should have warned you guys that it is a painful, pathetic read. I sat through the whole thing, because I wanted to see where that train wreck was going. i just had to... it was like a bad movie you couldn't stop watching

it should anger you. one, for how stupid some people really fucking are. and two, at me, for making you waste your time reading it muahaha

and i know you can say that every warrior forum thread is pathetic, and they are, in their own little way.... but this one was particular touching.

the thought of these mental midgets trying to combine their limited resources, sheer determination, and stupidity to create the 'greatest new thing since the internet itself was invented', well... it just magic. I can only imagine how many people think that this is their ticket out the poor house.

After reading that, I think I'm starting to see why they continually fall for buying their own shit from each other.

I could go to my moms special ed class (she's a principal not attending one lawlz) and get all the kids in there to collaborate on an idea together and come up with something better than that shit hole.
