WTF This aint my day!

If the baking soda doesn't work you could hire an ozone generator, used to put them in cars that smelt really bad when i worked for a car dealership.
 


Ditto on the baking soda and mix it with vinegar to so it will seep into places you can't reach.

I once picked up a skunk when I was a kid (they look kinda cute..) and I had to take a tomato bath... 24 hours later the odor was gone.
 
Are you renting? If so, start withholding rent until your land lord fixes the problem. If he doesn't fix it, claim constructive eviction, move out (breaking your lease legally = no early termination fees) and find a new place.

Office landlord is working to fix the issue so for now I won't break his balls until I see him basically giving up.

Over the past few days I've called "varmint" specialists and talked with all the masters on skunks.

Tomato Juice: myth - used in the past, just masks the smell, doesnt work.

Ozone Generators: will work to kill the smell if it's contained indoors, but this is a diff't situation as the skunk was outside right in the sills of the foundation so theres skunk oil literally on the outside edge of the office building but any type of wind brings it right in. Won't work, we have to get rid of the oil.

Baking Soda: will work to remove the initial "smell" but the issue with skunk is (not to be gross) their juice, which contains the chemicals in oils. Baking soda will remove the smell but if oil traces are left (always the case if we're talking outdoors where its nest was) the next time it rains, the oil will re-activate, bringing back the smell.

Today the real deal comes in, spoke with this exterminator at length on Friday, he is bringing an actual enzyme based solution that eats away at the chemicals causing the smells, and doesnt mask them. Never even knew that existed, will let you know in a few days if it works.

Find out what it is and ask them if it will work on mouse piss too.
 
I'm surprised nobody in this thread mentioned activated carbon. The stuff absorbs practically everything and would probably be helpful with absorbing the odors and the skunk oil that's causing them.
 
I know this may sound off tap and I am aussie so I do not know how bad a skunk smells but you could try rotting some seafood like fish and/or prawns and place it near where they found the skunk... see if that kills the odour... usually seafood over powers anything...Fish oil maybe a good option also.

Yeah that sound like a great idea. Then you'll have the overpowering stench of dead skunk AND rotten seafood. WTF.
 
Depends if the skunk sprayed while it died or not. If it sprayed then it could be up to 2 years like they said , although a month is more likely, if not , it'll be a week or so.
