Light boxes are so easy to make.

With a halfway decent DSLR, I've had tons of fun taking pictures with the lightbox and random things around the house.

If America was civilized like Europe you'd be put in jail for posting those threatening pictures and owning murder devices.

Instead, I'm allowed to not only own such devices, but carry one of these on a near daily basis.

On top of my freedom to do so, my area has lower crime rate than anywhere in Europe (.6 per 100,000 which is .1 lower than Switzerland and about 1/3rd of Belgium.)

That might be just the area and not the prevalence of guns? I'm pretty sure there are some areas of Ohio with the same amount of guns and more crime?

Nice pics btw.

It's illegal to use your brain on WF.

High murder rates are typically in the large cities (This goes not just for my state, but the entire US). Once you're out of a large city, the crime rate plummets. Incidentally, the firearm ownership outside of cities is significantly higher as well. I personally don't think it's the primary cause of low murder rates, but is a contributing factor.

My county has a murder rate of .5 to .6 per 100,000. The county north of me has a murder rate of 7-8 per 100,000. South of me is around 2 per 100k, east of me is around 1.5 west of me is under 1.

My county also has one of the highest CCW permit % in the state. 10% to 15% of adults in my county have permits. The county north of me (with the 7-8 murder rate) is around 2%.

I wish I had the 100mm EF macro lens, would be a lot of fun. I got some shitty adapter so I can use the old FD lenses on an EF mount but it's pretty ghetto.

I'm not going to comment on gun ownership, but you should be locked up for crimes against statistics.

You're comparing a county (Pickaway?) with a population density of 111 per square mile against entire countries with very different demographics (Switzerland has 4x that density).

The closest analogue in the UK is the county of Ceredigion, which has the same density.

http://www.assemblywales.org/ceredigion.pdf

Ceredigion has a rate of all violent crimes (which includes assaults, fighting outside the pub, wife beating, and more serious stuff like armed robbery and murder) of 0.136 per 100k. Their murder rate is so low they don't even keep separate statistics.

0.5 homicides per 100k for such a sparsely populated area is INSANELY high by our standards

London's homicide rate is around 2 per 100,000 for reference.

EDIT - anyhow, nice photos :)

schockergd since you obviously like Glock

I had a G21 gen3 that I sold because the grip was too big and i wasn't a huge fan of the angle.

I replaced this with an XDM 45 compact.... which i like but...

This is a bit too big/bulky i think for EDC and especially summer carry.

I was thinking about getting a G26 or a G36.... That or a single stack CW9 for it's thinness.

Thoughts? Opinions?

Why you had to spend 10$ for this is beyond me.

Old box + some paper for the BG + some translucent paper should not be more than a few cents.

$4 * 2 for lighting.

$2 for cloth to diffuse the lighting

$10 total on those two things. The paper was a piece of old posterboard, the box is from pool cleaner.

IMO the G19 & G23 are about as perfect as you can get for grip size of the gun. The G26 & G36 to me are too short and require a grip extension. The grip extension make them the length of the G19/23, so why not go with the G19/23 in the first place and get all the extra ammo capacity? At least, that's how I see it. I had a M&P 45c which is about the same size as the G26 and hated it for that fact, it was almost impossible to shoot without the grip extension added on.
