I think the internet itself is a bubble. A few years from now, everyone will realize how it has no intrinsic value and will go back to using books and newspapers.

Ah, but books and newspapers have no/little "intrinsic value."

Tech stocks peaked around year 2000, but there were much less internet users at that time.

850 now its going back to 1k. I know a guy who bought 50 at 600. India will be something to watch with bitcoin.

So many kids in India are balling uncontrollably right now.

My freelancer just fired me.

Good luck bros.

All I know is when you read mainstream news/blogs it's entirely obvious just how scared the general public is of Bitcoin.. All they can think of is tulips.

Perfect.

this was reported days ago. basically about baidu jiasule not accepting btc payments anymore. It probably contributed to the dip from 1k to 700, now back to 875.

Yeah, and many other smaller merchants are following baidu. Maybe some of them planned to be fronts for money laundering activities. This grocery store, for instance

A grocery store in the Chinese city of Harbin also gained some media attention in September as an early adopter of bitcoins. But on Sunday, the store said it was dropping the service.

The news is still going viral. I think there'll be another crash soon

hmmm...if it's really going viral over there, then it might lead to another major dip.

Crypto currencies are set to capture a significant percentage of the global bribery "market" and will probably end up boosting bribery imo.

The market for it is huge. The World Economic Forum estimates over $1 trillion in bribes are paid around the world each year and the economists concede that, in some countries, businesses have little choice but to play the bribery game. Of 183 countries they assessed, a substantial majority were deemed to be “corrupt to a significant degree”, with New Zealand recognised as the least corruptible.

Don't be a little propaganda repeater. Fiat paper dollars are way more practical and hide-able than any cryptocurrency is. This is why black markets are still mostly cash based.

I do want to see System D come over to the blockchain but whenever you've got someone in a position of authority, he knows he's being watched a lot more than streetfolk are.
